2057991/12020-01-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Customer statement / workshop findings: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated on driver instrument panel. Engine runs unevenly when starting from cold. Camshaft position Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored within Engine Control Unit (ECU). Technical background: When the engine is cold increased friction within the camshaft adjuster unit may result in camshaft position DTCs being stored within the ECU. The concern can be resolved by replacing the camshaft timing gear with a B level part which utilises an internal return spring with higher rate. See Parts information below. There are many possible DTCs related to this failure, the following is a typical example P001200 : A Camshaft position (Bank 1) timing over-retarded.

Customer statement / workshop findings: Windscreen cracked/damaged Technical background: Please refer to the instructions within the Measure section of this TPI in the event that a windscreen is cracked/damaged NOTE: The instructions MUST be followed to help the retailer clarify if the windscreen should be replaced under manufacturers warranty (Stress crack) or Customer pay/insurance (external influence damage) Measure: Identification In the event the windscreen is identified as cracked/damaged it is imperative the inspector of the cracked/damaged screen can determine if the crack was caused by external influences (stone chips) OR the screen is cracked/damaged due to a stress crack
2053177/52020-01-09. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Customer statement / workshop findings: Customer will not be aware of any fault codes. Workshop may discover spurious fault codes whilst running a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) log as part of other investigations on the vehicle. Technical background: The attached document contains all of the current known Spurious DTCs for all vehicle variants. Should a particular TPI be listed as Archived within the attached document the TPI can no longer be viewed within Elsa pro, in this case please refer to the instructions with the attached document regarding the DTC description and actions (if any) which should be conducted Measure: During routine diagnostic interrogation of vehicle systems use the attached document to determine the course of action to be taken.

Technical background: Verify that the customer complaint matches the video within the Bentley Hub Reference TPI Transaction number 2057664/1. Should the customer complaint match the issue refer to the Measure section of this TPI. Measure: 1) Replace the affected front steering upright and front wheel bearing.
