Service bulletins for the 2012 Audi Q7

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

1131 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

15 37 2040752 52022-05-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Metallic particles in the high pressure fuel pump may cause the condition. Vehicle either runs roughly or does not start.
A9022582059335_32022-05-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. This bulletin contains information on noises from the instrument cluster installation area.
A8722252010146172022-05-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. This bulletin contains instructions for properly cleaning and removing a musty odor from the heating and ventilation system.

A4622302034181202022-05-05. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. This technical service bulletin provides troubleshooting for brake noise.
37 14 30 20036582022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC):CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off).
37 14 23 20284722022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. The ignition key cannot be removed even though the gear shifter is in Park (P). The vehicle is mechanically in the Park position, but this is not recognized electronically. The gear shifter cannot be moved from the Park position. On vehicles with Audi advanced key, the vehicle cannot be locked by remote control after the engine has been switched off.The Park position of the gear shifter is sporadically not recognized, which causes the ignition key to not be cleared and prevents the vehicle from being locked.
37 14 21 20368262022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Diagnostic threshold setting in current software is too sensitive. The following message appears in the information display: ?Gearbox malfunction: You can continue driving.? New software in the TCM addresses the condition.
37 13 98 20257542022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION MOTOR; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). The vehicle pulls away with a jerk and slightly increased engine speed. There are no fault entries in the transmission control module. The vehicle hardly tends to creep in driving mode D and R. When pulling away, a jerk can be felt. The gear changes are uncomfortable.Shifting concerns while cruising or kick down. Shuddering or jerking when in R. Harsh gear engagement. Improved software of the transmission control module.
37 13 09 20287152022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:GEARS. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
37 13 07 20336582022-05-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who consciously or unconsciously drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition. With the introduction of Electronic Power Control (EPC) (no accelerator cable) to fuel injection systems, an engine RPM control feature has been incorporated into the engine electronic control system software. As a result, application of the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time (brake pedal with left foot and accelerator pedal with right foot) results in the following: ? Brake pedal function (normal at all times) overrides any throttle application. ? Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will not be stored. ? When the brake pedal is applied while the accelerator is depressed, engine RPMs will return to idle speeds of 1400 RPMs after approximately two seconds. ? When the accelerator is applied while the brake pedal is depressed, the vehicle accelerates slower than usual (reduced engine torque).
27 14 24 20253602022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This TSB provides basic diagnosis steps for discharged batteries, general tips for working with batteries, and system verification steps to ensure that the vehicle is configured correctly. For additional information on known current draw issues, refer to the following TSBs: ? 2014127: 27 Battery dead or low after returning to the vehicle (2007 A6, A8, Q7) ? 2019143: 27 Battery discharged on some vehicles with Advanced Key (2005 - 2008 A6, Q7)
27 13 18 20232822022-05-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed.
26 14 24 20382952022-05-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. The reducing agent transfer pump V436 may be faulty. The vehicle cannot pump AdBlue from the passive tank to the active tank. Cars in hot weather regions are more prone to this issue.
26 13 20 20267572022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. An AdBlue message may appear in the instrument cluster either because there is a fault in the emission control system or because the system needs to be refilled. The AdBlue message displayed may vary depending on the model year of the vehicle.
23 15 37 20407522022-05-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:PRESSURE SENSOR; STEERING. Metallic particles in the high pressure fuel pump may cause the condition.
