Service bulletins for the 2010 Audi Q7
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A571382 2017082- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-55 dated August 22, 2011. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders. |
| A441336 2022563- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-35 dated January 18, 2013. Customer feels vibration from 55 - 80 mph (88 - 128 km/h) in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not result in any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. |
| A431312 2020095- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 43 number 10-04 dated September 29, 2010. The vehicle pulls to one side. The suspension height is uneven and the vehicle is crooked. One wheel location of the suspension is stuck in the raised position. The control system cannot be programmed. DTC's may be stored in address 34. The residual pressure holding valve of an air spring may be stuck closed, not allowing the air spring to reduce its height. This valve's function is to ensure a minimum air spring pressure of 50 psi in the event of a large leak. For example, if an air supply line was severed by road debris, the residual pressure holding valve would keep the air spring from completely deflating. |
| A941316 2033675- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS. The customer may report that the tail lamp lighting does not switch between the rear lid and the bumper when the lid is operated. DTC 03703 (Rear lid -closed- sensor) may be stored in the comfort system central control module, J393 (address word 46). |
| A941315 2027755- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 11-59 dated December 7, 2011. Bugs are trapped inside the rear taillight housing. Bugs can be seen inside the housing, and there are no external markings indicating the taillight has been hit or has been previously damaged due to outside influence. Bugs are able to enter the taillight housing because the seal around the housing is not tight enough. |
| A661328 2029586- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES:EXTERIOR. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 66 number 12-23 dated August 3, 2012. The customer may report hearing wind noise while driving at highway speeds. The noise may occur on either side of the vehicle. Wind noise may be coming from either the mirror base or the lane change assist lamp. Improved parts are available. |
| A481343 2015819- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 11-15 dated January 10, 2011. The customer may report that the Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work. |

| A431315 2033587- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Self-leveling suspension cannot be adjusted during extremely cold weather. The self-leveling suspension warning light is illuminated in the instrument cluster. The self-leveling suspension operates normally again after the vehicle has been parked for a while in a garage or in the sun. DTC 20645 003 (valves for self-leveling control, mechanical fault) is present in the level control system module, J197 (address word 34). If the dryer on the air supply unit (air compressor) has taken in humidity for a long period of time, it may become saturated. As a result, the increased air humidity may get into the solenoid valve block and create condensation. In freezing temperatures, the condensation can freeze and block the valves, a condition that is recognized as a mechanical fault by the vehicle's self-diagnosis. Humidity can also enter the system if there is too much water in the air filter housing. Excess water can enter the air filter housing if the vehicle is driven in deep water or exposed to splashing water for an extended period of time (such as during off-road use). |
| A431314 2018765- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:REAR:SPRINGS:AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM; SUSPENSION:FRONT:SPRINGS:AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 43 number 12-11 dated October 29, 2012. The self-leveling system can no longer be adjusted with the MMI. The compressor for the self-leveling system continues to run after the engine has been switched off and the vehicle has been locked. DTCs may be stored in the level control system module, J197 (address word 34). Because of poor performance or failure of the air suspension compressor, the vehicle ride height cannot be adjusted. As a safeguard, the control module will lower the vehicle to the lowest position and illuminate the warning light. Drivability is not affected. |

DTC P0087 (Rail fuel pressure too low) or DTC P0088 (Rail fuel pressure too high) stored in the memory of the engine control module (ECM), J623 (01). Excess rattling ("diesel clatter") coming from engine. No start or hard starting condition. Loss of power while driving due to fuel system contamination. Contaminated fuel found in fuel system. Rust or metal debris found in fuel system. Contaminated or incorrect fuel can cause performance, drivability, and/or fuel delivery problems. Rust or metallic debris found in the fuel system indicates a major component failure. Additional component replacement may be necessary to ensure that no contamination or debris remains after repair. Reasons for fuel contamination can include water ingress in the gas station?s holding tanks, errors made in fuel transport, and incorrect fuel being dispensed into the vehicle via the customer or service station (full service) employees. |
| A011380 2024344- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 11-19 dated February 3, 2011. MIL on. Vehicle has reduced performance (in "limp mode"). Various entries may be logged. |
| A571385 2017082- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-82 dated February 5, 2013. |
| A601321 2030593- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 60 number 12-20 dated August 27, 2012. Evidence of water intrusion into the cabin of a vehicle equipped with a Panorama sunroof is found. Any of the water drain hoses can be either incorrectly installed (causing an obstruction) or the drain hose itself could have a defect causing a leak. In either case, water may not be channeled away from the sunroof frame and to the vehicle exterior. In most cases, these malfunctions can be found in the upper section of the drain hose. In the case of front sunroof drain hose malfunctions at the upper section of the drain hose, the repair has been to replace the drain hose. Replacing the drain hose is invasive and labor-intensive because it is necessary to remove and reinstall the instrument panel and structure to complete the procedure. |
| A941310 2029194- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 13-03 dated February 1, 2013. Only vehicles with Xenon headlights can be affected by this condition. The customer complains the high beams do not function on one side or one of the low beams flickers intermittently. In addition to this, an "Adaptive Headlight Defective" warning can be present in the cluster if the vehicle has the Prestige trim level. One of the following DTCs are set in the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (09), or in the headlamp range control module, J431 (55), depending on the trim level of the vehicle. Vehicles with the Premium Plus option package can have the DTC set in the J519 (09) module. Vehicles with the Prestige option package can have the DTC set in the J431 (55) module. One or more of the connectors inside the headlamp housing are disconnected fully or partially from the factory. |

The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. In A4 model years 2005?2006 and A3 model year 2009, the actual location of the garage door opener control module differs from the location shown in the owner's manual (opposite side of front bumper). The customer may misunderstand the programming procedure, particularly if the customer?s HomeLink® opener system is using an alternate code. The handheld transmitter?s programming function may become inoperative, or the transmitter is too far away from J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. If the vehicle flashes during the programming of a handheld transmitter, this does not necessarily indicate that the programming was successful; it only indicates that the vehicle has recognized and saved a signal. |
| A701547 2038029- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 70 number 15-44 dated February 25, 2015. Various squeaks and/or rattles are heard from the roof area on vehicles equipped with a panoramic sunroof. These noises can be created by the points of contact between the sunroof cover trim frame and the clips that retain it to the headliner. |
| A481567 2017266- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 14-62 dated September 23, 2014. Electrically-adjustable steering column adjustment is restricted and does not adjust vertically. Incorrect operation of Easy Entry is not the cause. It is unlikely that external forces have led to the loss of the stored end positions of the adjustment movement. See TSB 2015819, 48 Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work, for more information. Seat adjustments can be used to maintain the 10-inch minimum recommended distance from the steering wheel in case of airbag deployment. The axial adjustment is still functional during this condition. The steering column may be under tension due to unfavorable tolerances of the steering column and module cross carrier. As a result, the current draw of the regulator motors is above specification, which causes the electric steering column adjustment to fail. Once the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09), detects an excessive current draw, the basic settings will be erased. If basic settings are not stored in the vehicle electrical system control module, the module will not send voltage/current to the motor to operate the vertical adjustment. |
| A191562 2025303- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 15-61 dated July 7, 2015. Discontinuation and mixing of Audi-approved engine coolants. G11, G12, and G12+ coolants have been replaced by an improved version. G12++ coolant (for service available) has been introduced in MY 2005 for all engines. G13 has been introduced in MY 2008 as factory filling and service. |
