Service bulletins for the 2015 Audi A6

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

The bulb out warning for the taillight is displayed in the instrument cluster. The vehicle taillights are operating normally.
A9115032041178-12018-02-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. The customer is unable to play music when using the USB AMI cable connection (in A3 vehicles) or the USB media port (in A6, A7, or TT vehicles). Android phones connect to the MMI using the Media Transport Protocol (MTP). If the phone is not correctly configured to use MTP, it is possible that the MMI does not see the phone. When correctly set up, the MMI sees the phone as a media storage device (similar to a USB drive or external hard drive). The MMI can only see music that was manually transferred to the phone from a computer. Any music that was downloaded to the phone through a music app (such as the Google Play music app) cannot be seen by the MMI. This is due to an Android operating system restriction and is not a limitation of the MMI.
A301519 2019850-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; POWER TRAIN. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 30 number 11-10 dated December 2, 2011. Clutch is not operating properly. Clutch has a burnt smell. Clutch pedal does not fully return to starting position. Incorrect shifting, the revolutions of clutch plate and engine input shaft differ too much, excessive slipping of the clutch, and when the clutch is pressed and an incorrect lower gear is selected, can result in clutch damage.
A9615002027416-62018-02-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 14-85 dated July 24, 2014. The sunglass holder in the dome light assembly will not latch closed or is stuck closed. The condition may be intermittent. The sunglass holder spring latch mechanism may have been damaged during the assembly procedure.
A9415712039584-22018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 15-59 dated January 29, 2015. A bulb failure warning for one or several taillight functions appears in the instrument cluster, but the taillights are operating normally. The warning only occurs at very low outside temperatures. DTC entries are logged in the comfort system central control module. The transistor in the taillight is a component of the bulb failure monitor. The transistor is out of tolerance, which causes the bulb failure monitor to not see enough current consumption when outside temperatures are very low. This causes a false lamp failure warning.
A911512 2036575-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 15-80 dated March 20, 2015. The addresses and contacts stored in the Navigation >> Favorites, Navigation >> Directory, and Navigation >> Last destinations submenus disappear intermittently. Intermittently, the MMI system does not appear to remember that the user?s myAudi PIN has already been entered, and it requires the user to enter the PIN again. The voice recognition system does not easily recognize commands spoken by the driver. This condition can be consistent or intermittent. If a user stores addresses and contacts in the Navigation >> Favorites, Navigation >> Directory, and Navigation >> Last destinations submenus while a Bluetooth phone is paired to the vehicle, those addresses and contacts will only be visible any time that the same phone is paired to the vehicle. Any time that the same phone is not paired to the vehicle, the addresses and contacts will not be available. If a user stores addresses and contacts in the Navigation >> Favorites, Navigation >> Directory, and Navigation >> Last destinations submenus while a Bluetooth phone is not paired to the vehicle, the addresses and contacts will be available any time. In vehicles with Audi connect, the user is prompted to enter the myAudi PIN when selecting online destinations, accessing weather or other online information, or when importing contacts from the myAudi account. If the user?s Bluetooth phone (the same phone that was paired to the vehicle when the PIN was entered initially) is paired to the vehicle, the user will not be prompted to re-enter the PIN after it has been entered. 2016 A6 and A7 vehicles have a known software issue that requires the myAudi PIN to be entered with each ignition cycle. Multiple voice recognition training sessions can be stored in the MMI for different users when different phones are Bluetooth-paired during each training session. If no phone is paired, the training session will be stored under a default profile. Thi
A911510 2040406-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 15-90 dated June 5, 2015. When the vehicle is started, the GPS location or vehicle direction indicated on the MMI navigation map does not match the vehicle?s actual location or direction of travel for a long period of time (often as long as 10 minutes). The issue occurs in open sky, with no large buildings obstructing the sky view. The issue is intermittent, but it can occur for long periods of time during a single day. The issue resolves itself intermittently. The issue typically happens on very warm days when the HVAC system blower is at a medium to high setting (auto or manual), with air being directed out of the panel vents. When the issue occurs, the GPS navigation system satellite reception shows 0 satellites. Due to the infrequency of the issue, this might not be verifiable. (To view the number of satellites being received, go to Nav >> Route >> Select Current Position (first item in list) and scroll up). No DTCs related to the GPS antenna or MMI system are present. The vehicle is an A4 (including S4 and allroad variants), A5 (including Cabriolet, S5, and RS 5 variants), A6 (including S6 variant), A7 (including S7/RS 7 variants), A8 (including long wheelbase, S8, or W12 variants) or Q5 (including SQ5 and hybrid variants). (Q7 and Q3 vehicles are not affected by this condition. See TSB 2030465, 91 MMI3G+ GPS navigation location inaccurate or navigation takes a very long time to acquire location (Q7 or Q3) for Q7 and Q3 vehicles.)
A871567 2041717-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Customer may report poor performance of A/C system or that the A/C system is inoperative. Any replacement of A/C compressors must include an ODIS GFF test plan confirming a malfunction of the A/C system with documentation of the recovered refrigerant volume.
A571512 2028207-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:TRUNK LID:LOCK. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 12-62 dated January 9, 2012. The trunk cannot be unlocked with the button on the remote, with the button in the driver?s door panel, or with the handle on the lid of the trunk. Vehicles have a ?VALET? button in the glove box that activates the valet parking feature, which prevents unauthorized access to the trunk. When the valet parking feature is activated, the trunk can only be opened mechanically with the key.

DTC P20E800 (Reductant pressure too low) is stored in the engine control module. No relevant component or electrical problems are found when Guided Fault Finding (GFF) is run on the stored fault codes. Hardware and software update is needed.
21F2 - Dealer Le2018-02-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. On Audi vehicles with 4.0L TFSI engines manufactured within a specific period, the O-rings in the coolant lines for the turbocharger may be damaged. This can result in leaks between the coolant lines and the turbocharger.
