Service bulletins for the 2015 Audi A6
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A901555 2030193- | 2017-10-27. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION: CAMERA SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 90 number 12-31 dated July 16, 2012. Customer states all or part of the picture generated from the top view camera system has an unnatural hue. To achieve a natural-looking top view camera image, the camera system constantly adjusts the displayed colors based on environmental conditions. In certain lighting conditions, the system responds to vibrant nearby colors (from the vehicle or other objects) by automatically adding a complementary color to rebalance toward white, which can lead to color deviations. For example, a red object can cause the system to add a green hue. The strength of the added color depends on the brightness of the object and the ambient light. |

The continuous warning tone begins when the vehicle is approximately two feet away from an object, although it should not begin until the vehicle is one foot away from an object. Incorrect software parameters in the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 (address word 09), cause the condition. Only A6 S line and S6 vehicles with front and rear parking aid (PR 7X2) are affected. |
