Service bulletins for the 2015 Audi A6

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

The trunk cannot be unlocked with the button on the remote, with the button in the driver?s door panel, or with the handle on the lid of the trunk. Vehicles have a ?VALET? button in the glove box that activates the valet parking feature, which prevents unauthorized access to the trunk. When the valet parking feature is activated, the trunk can only be opened mechanically with the key.
A571404 2027368-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-86 dated March 20, 2013. The exterior door handle touch sensors (Audi advanced key) are inoperative on one or several doors. The key blade can be used mechanically (driver door or trunk) or remote electrically (key remote buttons) to unlock and lock the vehicle.
A571392 2022032-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-49 dated August 8, 2011. The customer inquires about the operation of the vehicle locking, and may suggest that the vehicle "locked itself". The lock command history is stored in the convenience system control module (J393).
A571382 2017082-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-55 dated August 22, 2011. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders.
A571385 2017082-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-82 dated February 5, 2013.
A571517 2035173-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-98 dated December 9, 2013. Customer may report that the automatic door lock function cannot be deactivated. The ?Lock when driving? (Autolock) configuration setting has been discontinued starting in some model year 2013 vehicles, and it is no longer available in the Car >> Vehicle Settings category in the MMI. The vehicle can still be unlocked while it is being driven, at any time, with the central locking switch in the door.
A961482 2036344-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:ANTI-THEFT DEVICES. The vehicle's anti-theft alarm sounds when the driver door is unlocked with a mechanical key. No DTCs are stored. The keyless remote was not used to unlock the vehicle. In order to minimize current draw after the ignition has been turned off, the electronics system of the vehicle goes into sleep mode. During this time, each module monitors the CAN bus more slowly than when the electronics system is awake. Because the system is being monitored more slowly, there is a delay in the waking of the central locking system. This delay causes a delay in the disabling of the anti-theft alarm system when the manual key is used. If the key is turned in less than a quarter of a second, the system can unlock the vehicle even though the anti-theft alarm has not been disabled.
A551434 2031273-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:TRUNK LID:LOCK. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 55 number 13-29 dated March 29, 2013. The movement-activated rear lid opening (also known as "Hands-free trunk release") is sporadically inoperative.
A551537 2031273-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:TRUNK LID:LOCK; STRUCTURE:BODY:TRUNK LID; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 55 number 14-34 dated March 21, 2014. The movement-activated rear lid opening (also known as "Hands-free trunk release") is sporadically inoperative. This feature is installed on the A6/A7 from CW 22/2013 production and the A8 from CW 45/2011 production with Audi advanced key (PR No. 4I3).
