A741419 2036572-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. SEATS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 74 number 14-18 dated February 26, 2014. The panel on the back of the front seat is warped or dented. The headrest on the rear seatback may also be damaged. The damaged is caused when the headrest of the rear seat backrest comes in contact with the back of the front seat. This occurs when the rear seat is folded down with the headrests installed, and the front seat is moved back far enough to make contact with the rear seat headrest.
A641433 2029714-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 64 number 12-22 dated July 5, 2012. After one or both of the front door control units (J386/J387) is replaced, one or both of the rear door control units (J3888/J389) cannot be coded or parameterized via an SVM specified vs. actual comparison (spec/actual). The parameter data in the software coding container has changed for the front and rear door control units. As a result, an SVM code is required to update the parameter data for any replacement control unit. Simply running an SVM spec/actual will not code nor update the parameter data in the new replacement control unit. A hardware change suggestion will be provided when an SVM spec/actual is executed. An additional hardware replacement is not required.
A441450 2022563-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION; STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 14-49 dated April 17, 2014. Customer feels vibration in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not lead to any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. The customer feels the vibration while driving at highway speeds from 55 ? 80 mph (88 ? 128 km/h). This bulletin is not applicable if this vehicle has a Repair Authorization on this topic. If an applicable Repair Authorization is not followed, the claim will not be paid. The vibrations felt by the customer could be a result of the harmonic vibrations caused by the radial force variation (RFV) of the tires or an imbalance of the wheel and tire assembly.
A391414 2028902-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 39 number 12-12 dated June 12, 2012. A squealing, howling, or whistling noise may be heard coming from under the vehicle. The condition is typically noticed when the vehicle is cold and is moving at speeds of 5 - 60 mph. The noise is from the intermediate bearing of the propeller shaft.
A371430 2003658-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 13-07 dated May 29, 2013. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off). No DTCs are stored. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition.
A371426 2025535-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 11-20 dated May 13, 2011. There is no customer complaint with this concern. DTCs may be stored. If the memory is read with guided fault finding (GFF) or if Immobilizer test plans are performed, the above DTC entries may be stored due to a communication error between the VAS tester and the TCM. (In particular, the issue happens with tester VAS 5051B).
A371423 2028472-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 12-38 dated February 22, 2012. The ignition key cannot be removed even though the gear shifter is in Park (P). The vehicle is mechanically in the Park position, but this is not recognized electronically. The gear shifter cannot be moved from the Park position. On vehicles with Audi advanced key, the vehicle cannot be locked by remote control after the engine has been switched off. DTC 00230 may be sporadically stored in the vehicle authorization system control module. The Park position of the gear shifter is sporadically not recognized, which causes the ignition key to not be cleared and prevents the vehicle from being locked.
A001463 2033576-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 13-49 dated May 14, 2013. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
Customer Letter2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Audi has determined that, under specific conditions, the turbocharger could malfunction and may cause the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on the instrument cluster to illuminate due to the presence of specific fault codes caused by this component. The MIL is part of your on-board diagnostic system. Please refer to your owner's manual for additional information about the MIL. In some locales, an illuminated Malfunction Indicator Lamp could cause your vehicle to fail an IM emissions inspection, and your vehicle registration application could be denied. Please be aware that other conditions (unrelated to the issue described in this letter) may cause the MIL in your vehicle to illuminate. Customers should be prepared to cover all diagnosis and repair costs for these other, unrelated conditions. Dealers will diagnose and replace a faulty turbocharger if necessary, at no cost to you as long as the vehicle remains within the time and mileage limits of this warranty extension.
A441451 2034445-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-38 dated July 11, 2013. Scenario A is after the engine is started, the message "TPMS" appears briefly then turns off. No DTCs are stored. Scenario B is the message "TPMS" appears constantly. DTC 03159 (tire pressure monitoring in ESP function) is stored in the ABS control module, J104 (address word 03), with one or more additional DTCs. Scenario C is the messages "TPMS" and "Tire pressure: System malfunction!" appear while the vehicle is being driven. DTC 03159 (tire pressure monitoring in ESP function) is stored in the ABS control module, J104 (address word 03), without other DTCs.
A371431 2013002-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:COOLING UNIT AND LINES; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 11-19 dated January 31, 2011. Automatic transmission fluid is leaking at the sump pan gasket. As the sump pan gasket settles, the torque of the bolts decreases and the seal may leak.
A211418 2031245-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 21 number 13-16 dated July 9, 2013. The MIL is on. DTC P029900 (Negative Pressure Deviation) is stored as a static fault in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). Under certain driving conditions, the linkage for the waste gate actuation can encounter excessive wear which leads to play at the waste gate flap. This leads to boost escaping through a loose flap, which sets DTC P029900 (Negative Pressure Deviation).
A191450 2025303-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 13-41 dated June 20, 2013. Discontinuation and mixing of Audi-approved engine coolants. G11, G12, and G12+ coolants have been replaced by an improved version. G12++ coolant (for service available) has been introduced in MY 2005 for all engines. G13 has been introduced in MY 2008 as factory filling and service.
A971443 2036764-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 97 number 14-42 dated March 31, 2014. The MIL is on. Vehicle will not start. DTC P068A00 is stored in the ECM. The motronic engine control module power supply relay, J271, is not functioning properly. Because the J271 relay controls battery voltage (Terminal 30) via a ground signal sent from the ECM, numerous faults can occur in multiple control modules when it is not functioning properly.
A911437 2030947-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-92 dated July 16, 2013. The customer complains that when he or she is trying to place a phone call from the vehicle while using a Bluetooth®-connected phone, the phone call disconnects before it begins and an error shows on the MMI display. The message may be "Function not supported" or "Network error". The customer is using a phone with the Android operating system. In addition, Skype®, or another network-based communication software, is installed on the phone. Call can be placed directly from the phone without a problem. When the phone receives the request to place a call from the vehicle, a prompt appears on the phone asking the user to choose how the call should be placed. If the prompt is ignored, the MMI system disconnects the call because it assumes that the phone is not responding.
A911435 2026895-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 14-19 dated January 3, 2014. Customer complains that during Bluetooth calls, the person at the other end has trouble hearing the speaker in the vehicle. Voice recognition accuracy is poor. This TSB provides guidelines for testing microphones in a vehicle.
A911430 2017425-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 10-08 dated March 18, 2010. On generation III Concert and Symphony radios , the control knob or volume knob is broken or loose. Knobs may be damaged by outside influence.
A871449 2020124-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 13-44 dated August 26, 2013. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. Battery discharged; however, when charged, there is no bus silence when vehicle ignition is off. The A/C pressure/temperature sensor, G395, leaks refrigerant. This causes sensor G395 to show an incorrect or implausible value when reading MVBs. An incorrect signal or a low refrigerant level in the system can cause the air conditioning compressor to deactivate. The LIN cable connecting the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, to sensor G395 is pinched or cut. This affects the A4/S4, A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles. The A6 and A8 are not affected by this type of failure. The pressure sensor G395/G65 sends an incorrect signal that prevents bus silence and the battery is discharged.
A441449 2022563-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-44 dated November 21, 2013. Customer feels vibration in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not lead to any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. The customer feels the vibration while driving at highway speeds from 55 - 80 mph (88 - 128 km/h). Tires with higher mileage and/or wear should be inspected to determine the best correction for the issue (repair or replacement). Tire life and condition should be determined prior to starting any diagnosis or repair for a vibration.
A271424 2025360-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-12 dated February 28, 2012. Customer may report that the vehicle does not start due to a discharged battery. The vehicle has either a battery diagnostic management control module or a battery energy management control module. This TSB provides basic diagnosis steps for discharged batteries, general tips for working with batteries, and system verification steps to ensure that the vehicle is configured correctly.
A171449 2028440-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 12-26 dated January 20, 2012. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer.

A961482 2036344-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:ANTI-THEFT DEVICES. The vehicle's anti-theft alarm sounds when the driver door is unlocked with a mechanical key. No DTCs are stored. The keyless remote was not used to unlock the vehicle. In order to minimize current draw after the ignition has been turned off, the electronics system of the vehicle goes into sleep mode. During this time, each module monitors the CAN bus more slowly than when the electronics system is awake. Because the system is being monitored more slowly, there is a delay in the waking of the central locking system. This delay causes a delay in the disabling of the anti-theft alarm system when the manual key is used. If the key is turned in less than a quarter of a second, the system can unlock the vehicle even though the anti-theft alarm has not been disabled.
A911429 2026888-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 12-50 dated August 1, 2012.
