Service bulletins for the 2009 Audi A5

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

679 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

27 13 19 20290102022-05-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Low battery charge: excess current draw location
26 13 18 20279452022-05-31. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Humming or metallic rattling noise from under the vehicle, heard most consistently during engine idle or slow acceleration. Initial inspection indicates that the noise is coming from the exhaust system. Relative movements in the rear mounting of the exhaust system (rear silencer).
37 13 09 20287152022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:GEARS. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
27 14 24 20253602022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This TSB provides basic diagnosis steps for discharged batteries, general tips for working with batteries, and system verification steps to ensure that the vehicle is configured correctly. For additional information on known current draw issues, refer to the following TSBs: ? 2014127: 27 Battery dead or low after returning to the vehicle (2007 A6, A8, Q7) ? 2019143: 27 Battery discharged on some vehicles with Advanced Key (2005 - 2008 A6, Q7)
AWC 19-052019-09-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS; EQUIPMENT. This communication is issued to inform dealers of updated shipping regulations related to lithium ion batteries.
A871569 2020124-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 14-49 dated April 25, 2014. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. Battery discharged; however, when charged, there is no bus silence when vehicle ignition is off. The A/C pressure/temperature sensor, G395, leaks refrigerant. This causes sensor G395 to show an incorrect or implausible value when reading MVBs. An incorrect signal or a low refrigerant level in the system can cause the air conditioning compressor to deactivate. The LIN cable connecting the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, to sensor G395 is pinched or cut. This affects the A4/S4, A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles. The A6 and A8 are not affected by this type of failure. The pressure sensor G395/G65 sends an incorrect signal that prevents bus silence and the battery is discharged. Sensor G395 is a LIN slave of the vehicle electrical system control module. The vehicle electrical system control module transfers the information provided by the sensor via the comfort data bus to the climate control module, J255.
A571738 2017082-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. This informational bulletin contains instructions for sychronizing the remote key after the battery has been disconnected or replaced.
A911469 2038824-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES. The following message appears on the MMI display: ?Device or cable type not supported?. The ?Device or cable type not supported? message may be displayed when the wrong AMI cable type is used. See the Service section of this bulletin for an overview of the AMI cables that support iOS devices.
A871342 2020124-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 12-37 dated November 16, 2012. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. A271424 2025360-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-12 dated February 28, 2012. Customer may report that the vehicle does not start due to a discharged battery. The vehicle has either a battery diagnostic management control module or a battery energy management control module. This TSB provides basic diagnosis steps for discharged batteries, general tips for working with batteries, and system verification steps to ensure that the vehicle is configured correctly.
A271319 2029010-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-13 dated March 22, 2012. The customer may report a discharged battery when trying to start the vehicle. The condition results in a no start.
A271318 2023282-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-10 dated February 13, 2012. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed.
