Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi A4 allroad

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

DTCs are stored in the ECM. Engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling. Because there are a number of different misfire faults (unrelated to ignition coil operation) that could cause the MIL to illuminate, proper Guided Fault Finding (GFF) misfire diagnosis must be followed before any ignition coils are replaced.
Update Bulletin2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Under certain conditions, permanent mode $0A DTC codes concerning the fuel pump power stage module may remain visible after the vehicle?s OBD system has run the proper monitors successfully to allow the DTC to be erased by the system, after a proper repair. A901342 2035902-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION. "Ignition lock faulty" message is displayed in the driver information display with the symbol shown at right. DTCs are stored in the comfort system central control unit. The "ignition lock faulty" message can be triggered by many different DTC entries. Presence of the message does not indicate that the ignition switch is faulty; the message typically has a different root cause. Replacing the ignition switch before completing GFF test plans typically does not correct the condition.
A201328 2035073-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 20 number 13-27 dated October 16, 2013. MIL on. A911317 2035919-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). GPS inaccuracies can be caused by several different factors. If it is unclear if this PSS applies, submit a Technical Assistance Center ticket for additional instruction. Perform Spec Actual and attach the GFF log to the ticket. Customer states the navigation system is not tracking the vehicle correctly. No DTCs related to the GPS antenna or MMI system are present. The issue occurs after the vehicle is parked overnight or for several hours in a parking garage or other similar enclosed space. A private home garage does not apply. The issue does not occur if the vehicle is parked overnight or for several hours in an open-sky environment. The condition continues for the duration of the drive. The issue only corrects itself with a 3-finger reset or during a vehicle sleep cycle. The vehicle is not a Q7 or A8. If the above conditions apply and the customer vehicle is a Q7 or A8, submit a Technical Assistance Center ticket for additional instruction. Perform Spec Actual and attach the GFF log to the ticket.

A801305 2033806-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 80 number 13-04 dated August 9, 2013. Malfunction Indicator Lamp is on. Climate system heating performance is insufficient. Coolant level warning is on. Engine temperature is elevated. ?Limp Home? mode is active. Faults are stored in the transmission control module. Coolant loss is found from one or more control valves: N82, N509, or N488. Coolant may have migrated into the wiring harness through the connector and into various control units. Climate system heating performance is insufficient due to coolant loss, or due to a faulty N82 control valve. Inspection of the coolant control valves N82, N509, or N488 reveals the presence of coolant inside the electrical connector as shown in the illustration. The connectors, wiring harness, and/or connected control units may have been damaged from exposure to coolant.
A721309 2035357-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Seat memory function does not work. DTCs are stored. In the event of a voltage fluctuation in the vehicle power system, the software of the seat adjustment module fails.

After the airbag control module (J234) has been replaced, the control unit cannot be coded via SVM spec/actual. An SVM code is required to code and parameterize the new service replacement airbag control module. Each model?s SVM code is provided in a parts bulletin (GP bulletin), which should have been referenced through ETKA when the module was replaced. The control module cannot be coded until the SVM code has been executed.

A271318 2023282-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-10 dated February 13, 2012. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed.

A911590 2040406-2017-10-27. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 15-87 dated May 18, 2015. When the vehicle is started, the GPS location or vehicle direction indicated on the MMI navigation map does not match the vehicle?s actual location or direction of travel for a long period of time (often as long as 10 minutes). The issue occurs in open sky, with no large buildings obstructing the sky view. The issue is intermittent, but it can occur for long periods of time during a single day. The issue typically happens on very warm days when the HVAC system blower is at a medium to high setting (auto or manual), with air being directed out of the panel vents. When the issue occurs, the GPS navigation system satellite reception shows 0 satellites. Due to the infrequency of the issue, this might not be verifiable. (To view the number of satellites being received, go to Nav >> Route >> Select Current Position (first item in list) and scroll up. No DTCs related to the GPS antenna or MMI system are present. The vehicle is an A4 (including S4 and allroad variants), A5 (including Cabriolet, S5, and RS 5 variants), A6 (including S6 variant), A7 (including S7/RS 7 variants), A8 (including long wheelbase, S8, or W12 variants) or Q5 (including SQ5 and hybrid variants). Q7 and Q3 vehicles are not affected by this condition. The failure can happen at start-up or while the vehicle is being driven. The issue typically starts when the vehicle is driven on curvy or circular roads, driven in circles (such as when driven around a parking lot), or driven on or off an expressway.
