Service bulletin TSB 26-2233
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
This article supersedes TSB 26-2116 to clarify the prior approval statement. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above may exhibit an oil leak from the oil filter adapter to engine block mounting area. This may be due to block porosity or a block crack just below the oil filter adapter near the main bearing cap outer bolt.

| SSM 55228 | 2026-10-12. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2026 Aviator/Explorer/F-150/Bronco/Ranger vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L (non-diesel) engine may need the front engine cover removed and reinstalled for various reasons. The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-01 Engine > Removal and Installation > Engine Front Cover service procedure has been updated to include a new essential special service tool (ESST) guide pin alignment tool (303-1790) that is used to align the engine front cover to the engine block, preventing the O-ring seal on the engine oil galley feed tube from getting damaged during installation. |

| TSB 26-2217 | 2026-05-14. Service bulletin. This bulletin supersedes 24-2441. Reason for update: consolidation of prior bulletins and an update the Service Procedure to diagnose and replace the cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor with an updated version. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model Statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: * Illuminated power train malfunction (wrench) indicator/malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P1299, P1285 and/or P2C39 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). * "Engine Over-Temperature" and/or Service Vehicle Soon warning message(s) displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) This may be due to the software in the PCM and/or the CHT sensor. Note: The vehicle's cooling fan will operate normally with no loss of engine coolant. |
| SSM 54803 | 2026-05-14. Service bulletin. Some 2025 Mustang Mach-E vehicles built on or before 30-Jun-2025 and 2024 F-150 Lightning vehicles may exhibit a flashing light on the air conditioning (A/C) button with a lack of heat and/or A/C with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1717:06 stored in the heat pump valve control module (HPVCM). This may be due to the software in the HPVCM. To correct the condition, reprogram the HPVCM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). If the DTC remains this may be due to the "Heat Pump Vacuum Lock Release Sequence" application performance in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). The "Heat Pump Vacuum Lock Release Sequence" application has been updated in FDRS to operate properly. For claiming, use causal part 14H266 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4. |
| SSM 54795 | 2026-05-08. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine and 2020-2026 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 3.3L hybrid engine may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0A1E stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The vehicle may be unable to enter electric-only drive modes as expected during normal drive cycles. This may be due to the software within the belt integrated starter generator (BISG). For vehicles with this condition, follow Pinpoint Test I: Battery Isolation/Voltage Stabilization Control Circuit Carry Outance located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-06D and repair the vehicle as necessary. Note that the BISG is on backorder status at the time of this publication and Ford is working to make parts available. Engineering is investigating this concern. Monitor PTS for updates. |
