Service bulletin SSM 52881
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 23-2120 | 2023-05-23. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2021 Expedition/Navigator and 2020-2021 Explorer/Aviator vehicles equipped with a 10R80/10R80 MHT or 10R60 may exhibit a momentary transmission neutral-out condition while in drive. Vehicle may also have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P07E6 and/or P07E4 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM) and/or a possible audible noise. This may be due to a leak in the park valve circuit. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to inspect the park system hardware for wear or damage and replace the valve body separator plate with an improved valve body separator plate. |
| 22OTA22PU1010MIL | 2023-01-07. Service bulletin. Priority Update 22-PU1010-MIL-LT for 2022 Expedition and Navigator vehicles is now available. Quality improvements include: -Electronic Brake Boost (EBB) interaction enhancement durring neutral tow operation. -Robustness change to brake fluid viscosity algorithm for low temperature compensation to prevent false DTC activation. |
| SSM 51261 | 2023-01-06. Service bulletin. Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied. When diagnosing and repairing brake noise conditions, use the Workshop Manual (WSM) and the appropriate pinpoint test in section 206-00. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206-00. |
| SSM 51120 | 2022-10-11. |
| SSM 51043 | 2022-08-22. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2022 F-150 3.5L PowerBoost, 2022 F-150 Lightning and 2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator and stability-traction control indicator and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1013:09 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to ABS module software parameters. This condition does not affect brake system hydraulic functionality. Clear the DTC to restore ABS functionality. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via an over the air (OTA) software update expected in November 2022. Software will update automatically if the vehicle is connected to FordPass/LincolnWay. Monitor OASIS for additional information. Schedule a service appointment for customers that are not connected to FordPass/LincolnWay once the repair becomes available. |
| SSM 50713 | 2022-05-03. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2022 F-150/Bronco and 2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator and stability-traction control indicator when ambient temperatures are below freezing, and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1013:09 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to ABS module software parameters and the effects of low ambient temperature on brake fluid viscosity. This condition does not affect brake system hydraulic functionality. Clear the DTC to restore ABS and stability-traction control functionality and inform customers that Ford is developing a software update which will be delivered to the vehicle via an over-the-air (OTA) ABS update in November 2022 to prevent this condition. |
| SSM 50064 | 2021-09-04. Service bulletin. Some 2013-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied. |
| TSB-20-2028 | 2020-03-03. Service bulletin. Some 2013-2018 F-150/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 4-wheel drive (4WD) may exhibit an intermittent grinding noise while driving in 2-wheel drive (2WD) mode most commonly on acceleration. This may be due to a loss of vacuum to the integrated wheel end (IWE) actuators and/or wear of the IWE components. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reprogram the transfer case control module (TCCM) and replace any worn vacuum and/or IWE components. |
