Service bulletin SSM 52126
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2024 Nautilus full hybrid electric vehicles (FHEV) may set a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U053B:86 in the secondary on-board diagnostic control module C (SOBDMC) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to a communication error between the image processing module A (IPMA) and SOBDMC. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPMA and/or SOBDMC will not resolve this condition. U053B:86 should be ignored and no further service action is required if no other DTCs are present in the IPMA and/or SOBDMC, the IPMA is configured correctly, no warning indicators are illuminated while the engine is running, and no symptoms present.

| SSM 55071 | 2026-08-11. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Aviator/Explorer/Expedition/F-150/Mustang Mach-E/Navigator vehicles may exhibit the hands-free BlueCruise feature intermittently/consistently unavailable when BlueCruise is active and when traveling in a "Blue Zone". Speed sign recognition may also be inaccurate. If there are no active relevant diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) present and the issue persists after multiple key cycles and if the BlueCruise System Health Check passes, download and run the "TCU - Reset Telematics Control Unit (TCU) Module" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). If the condition is resolved, inform customers that this may be a temporary fix and engineering is currently working on a solution expected in Q4 2026. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. For claiming, use causal 14G229 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4. If the condition persists after a test drive, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-03B for normal diagnosti |

| SSM 52697 | 2024-08-05. Service bulletin. Some 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit "Blind Spot System Fault" and "Cross Traffic System Fault" displayed in the message center with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B159C:78 stored in the side obstacle detection control module RH (SODR). If this condition occurs, follow Pinpoint Test M in section 419-04B Side and Rear Vision of the Workshop Manual. If diagnosis leads to the removal of the rear bumper cover, inspect the inside of the bumper cover for any labels near the location of the SODR that may be blocking its field view and remove if found. If no labels are found blocking the SODR, continue with normal diagnosis. |
| SSM 52125 | 2023-12-11. Service bulletin. Some 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3000:49 in the camera module-rear (CMR) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to the system triggering a shared variable and then enters a timeout reset process. The history state DTC U3000:49 has no effect on functionality. Replacement or reprogramming of the CMR will not resolve this condition. Engineering is currently working on a solution and a software update is expected in Q2 2024. Continue to monitor OASIS for additional information. |
| SSM 52124 | 2023-12-11. Service bulletin. Some 2024 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1578:89 in the image processing module A (IPMA) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to an internal module chip reboot that will recover by itself. B1578:89 has no effect on functionality. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPMA will not resolve this condition. Engineering is currently working on a solution and a software update is expected in Q2 2024. Continue to monitor OASIS for additional information. |
