Service bulletin SSM 55071

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2025-2026 Aviator/Explorer/Expedition/F-150/Mustang Mach-E/Navigator vehicles may exhibit the hands-free BlueCruise feature intermittently/consistently unavailable when BlueCruise is active and when traveling in a "Blue Zone". Speed sign recognition may also be inaccurate. If there are no active relevant diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) present and the issue persists after multiple key cycles and if the BlueCruise System Health Check passes, download and run the "TCU - Reset Telematics Control Unit (TCU) Module" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). If the condition is resolved, inform customers that this may be a temporary fix and engineering is currently working on a solution expected in Q4 2026. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. For claiming, use causal 14G229 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4. If the condition persists after a test drive, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-03B for normal diagnosti

SSM 546682026-04-06. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 Mach-E and 2022-2024 F-150 vehicles may have customers or dealerships that wish to activate new BlueCruise features (example: Lane Change Assist). New BlueCruise features can only be activated/delivered via an over-the-air update (OTA). Inform customers that they will need to wait for the update to be pushed to their vehicle. There is no way to manually push the update. If the update fails, OTA will re-attempt an update later.

TSB 25-25122025-10-28. Service bulletin. This article supersedes TSB 25-2104 to update the labor times associated with the Service Procedure. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: * Inoperative BlueCruise and lane centering * DTC U2018:51 stored in the camera module - rear (CMR) * DTC U0565:86 stored in the image processing module A (IPMA) * DTC U3000:49 is not stored in the CMR This may be due to the software in the CMR.
SSM 542532025-10-02. Service bulletin. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a condition where the instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays an unexpected Watch the Road warning while using BlueCruise with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored related to the driver-assist systems. This may be due to the steering column tilt angle, driver seat position (height and backrest angle) and/or the software within the driver status monitor camera (DSMC). Replacing components is not expected to resolve this issue. Optimize driver head position by adjusting the steering column tilt angle and driver seat position (height and backrest angle) to ensure the DSMC (mounted on top of the steering column) has a clear view of the drivers entire face from chin to forehead. The driver must view the IPC display above the steering wheel and not be able to see the IPC display through the openings of the steering wheel from the seated position. Provide both Expedition and Navigator customers with a printout of the Lincoln Navigator Owners Manual page titled, Lincoln BlueCruise > How Does BlueCruise Work. The Expedition Owner's Manual is in process

Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit driver assistance feature warning messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Additionally, some modules may store invalid data/lost communication diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). This may be due to software in the image processing module A (IPMA).
