Service bulletin 23H07

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
SSM 523332024-03-20. Service bulletin. Many body control module C (BCMC) warranty return parts are coming back with no trouble found. To verify that the BCMC is at fault prior to replacing, perform the following. First, disconnect the battery then check all BCMC connectors for terminal pushout, pin damage, spread terminals, and corrosion. Refer to Workshop Manual Section 100-00 Wire Terminal Inspection and Replacement. If none found, reconnect the BCMC and battery terminals then recheck functionality. If concern still exists, proceed with BCMC replacement.

SSM 522132024-01-30. Service bulletin. Some 2022-2023 F-150 and 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a direct current/alternating current converter module A (DCACA) inverter (minor feature code HUKAK) may exhibit a Please Contact Authorized Dealer For Service message in the center display screen with DTC P0A93:96 stored in the DCACA. This may be due to the software level of the DCACA and has no effect on vehicle operation. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). To correct this condition, reprogram the DCACA to the latest software level using the latest version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 19G317 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 520752023-11-21. Service bulletin. Some 2022 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative headlamp after a body control module (BCM) software update. There may also be BCM diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B14E5:08 and/or B14E7:08 present. This may be due to a software incompatibility between the headlamp light emitting diode (LED) control module and the BCM. If this condition occurs after a BCM software update, confirm the BCM is at the latest software level and replace the headlamp LED module on the affected headlamp. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 417-01.
TSB 23-22402023-08-10. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start with a battery draw and air conditioning (A/C) clutch engaged at all times. This may be due to an opened diode in the A/C clutch field coil damaging the output driver in the body control module C (BCMC). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the BCMC and A/C clutch field coil assembly.
SSM 517592023-07-03. Service bulletin. Some 2021 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative bed lamp with B14D8:15 stored in the BCM. This may be due to the configuration of the BCM. To correct this condition, download and run the BCM - Body Control Module (BCM) Configuration application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 516752023-06-08. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience programming errors after a replacement of the body control module (BCM) for various concerns. After programmable module installation (PMI) of the new BCM, diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U2100:00, U2101:00 and/or U211B:87 may be present. Download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) application titled Trusted Real-Time Operation Network (TRON) Module Authentication, and perform the TRON Diagnosis and Repair and Reset ECU on CAN BUS routines. Once both TRON routines have been completed, re-run the BCM PMI application. Verify that all BCM DTCs have cleared. Service procedures are being updated to improve this process. Monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 516642023-05-31. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may require a replacement of the body control module (BCM) for various concerns. SSM 515912023-05-16. Service bulletin. Some 2022 model year F-150s may exhibit an inoperative headlamp after a Body Control Module (BCM) software update. Follow Workshop Manual (WSM) procedure in Section 417-01.
SSM 515782023-05-04. Service bulletin. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may set DTCs B109F:55, B1330:9A, U0252:87, U0198:87, U0184:87, U0155:87, U0256:87, and/or U0100:87 in the BCM when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to an incorrect sequence of an internal measurement unit during self-test causing a false history status DTC (0x48 or 0x08 status). The DTC matures to history status because the BCM detects nothing is wrong. Replacement or reprogramming of the BCM will not resolve this condition. B109F:55, B1330:9A, U0252:87, U0198:87, U0184:87, U0155:87, U0256:87, and/or U0100:87 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present in the BCM, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated while the engine is running, and no drivability concerns are present. No further service action is required.
