Service bulletin 511640

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

According to General Motors Recall 23V247: "These vehicles are equipped with an unused circuit that a final-stage manufacturer may elect to use to install an optional rear HVAC system. If the final-stage manufacturer leaves the circuit's connectors or cut wires unsealed, exposure to moisture or contamination may, over time, cause corrosion. This could result in high current draw through the circuit at the vehicles' lower left side B-pillar. Unintended release of excessive heat from the circuit may pose a risk of a vehicle fire and increase the risk of injury."

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
5120562026-05-18. Service bulletin. According to FORD Recall # 26S24, 26V204: "One or both of your vehicle’s windshield wiper arms may become stripped or damaged. This damage may result in erratic wiper arm speed, an inoperable wiper arm and/or a wiper arm becoming detached from the vehicle. An improperly functioning wiper arm may impair driver vision, increasing the risk of a crash."
511952F2025-11-25. Service bulletin. According to Ford Recall 25V315/25S49: "The infotainment screen may freeze followed by a black screen and a system reboot. If this occurs during a backing event, the rear-view image may be frozen, missing, or delayed. A frozen rear-view camera display image while in reverse can reduce the driver’s view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash."
5119672025-09-26. Service bulletin. According to Ford recall 25V442 / 25S72: "On your vehicle, it may be possible an error in the SYNC software can cause SYNC system instability concerns and/or a failure to preserve certain settings across ignition cycles. This may result in an intermittent blank image while in reverse or rear-view image remaining on display after reverse driving has ended. Other non-safety related symptoms may be present such as a black infotainment screen, incorrect language setting, and/or potential inability to perform software updates. A rear-view camera that intermittently displays a blank image while in reverse can reduce the driver’s view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. A rear-view camera that remains on after the backing event has ended can distract the driver, increasing the risk of a crash."
5119522025-08-18. Service bulletin. According to Ford Recall 25V315: "The infotainment screen may freeze followed by a black screen and a system reboot. If this occurs during a backing event, the rear-view image may be frozen, missing, or delayed. A frozen rear-view camera display image while in reverse can reduce the driver’s view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash."
5119462025-08-18. Service bulletin. According to FCA recall 25V330: "The Security Gateway Module (SGW) on your vehicle may prevent some communication between vehicle modules, which may result in the rearview image not displaying in a backing event. The vehicle operator may notice that the rearview image is not displayed if attempting to reference the image while backing. A rearview camera image that does not display reduces the driver's visibility of what is behind the vehicle and if not heeded, increases the risk of a crash."
5116802023-10-02. Service bulletin. According to a Furrion TSB "TB-220919": Irregular cooling performance has been reported on the identified refrigerators. The refrigerator compressor has been found to stop working and requires a “hard reset” by disconnecting power to reset cooling operation. On occasion, disconnecting power does not reset operation and the refrigerator requires service replacement of the control boards. This TSB may not be applicable for some vehicles.
511638F2023-08-02. Service bulletin. According to GM Safety Recall N222375270/23V266: "These vehicles may have a brake pressure sensor assembly that allows brake fluid to leak beyond the diaphragm seal into the pressure switch. The brake fluid may seep into the sensor's electrical components and short the brake pressure switch and the associated fuse. If brake fluid shorts the brake pressure switch and the associated fuse, the circuit can generate excessive heat that could result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury. An under-hood fire may occur when the vehicle is off and possibly unattended."
5116382023-07-05. Service bulletin. According to GM Safety Recall N222375270 (NHTSA Recall Number TBD): "These vehicles may have a brake pressure sensor assembly that allows brake fluid to leak beyond the diaphragm seal into the pressure switch.
511624F2023-07-05. Service bulletin. According to FCA Recall 23V060: Your vehicle can experience an engine compartment fire originating from the Generation 1 solid state intake air grid heater relay. An electrical short in the relay can potentially lead to a vehicle fire with the ignition on or off. A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle, as well as property damage. Customers are advised to not park these vehicles inside of buildings or structures, or near other vehicles until the vehicle has the final repair completed. This is the final notification received from FCA.
5115082022-05-31. Service bulletin. This is a Mercedes-Benz Recall that Forest River is passing through. Forest River is not conducting any campaign separately other than notifying our owners and dealers of the Mercedes-Benz Campaign 21V055. USA: 178 Vehicles MBAG has determined that on certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles, the software design of the communication module may fail to communicate the correct vehicle's location for the emergency call system ("eCall") in the event of a crash. Depending on the crash scenario, a temporary drop in the on-board electrical voltage system may occur. If this occurs, the wrong location may be transmitted during an eCall. As a result, the arrival of emergency responders could be delayed, which could increase the risk of injury.
