Due to assembly variations, the clearance between the seat back bar garnish and the convertible top is too small on some vehicles. REPAIR PROCEDURE 6. Install the seat back crossmember assembly from the vehicle according to the instructions on MGSS online or the Workshop Manual (section 09-10 SEAT BACK CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION). 7. 09-004-262026-02-03. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit a crack in the door side of the front seat cushion trim. Cracks develop along the areas where wrinkles form when weight is applied to the seat. When exiting the vehicle, the door-side surface of the cushion trim may be folded and compressed. When entering the vehicle, the surface of the cushion bolster may be rubbed and stretched. Repeated occurrences of these conditions may result in a crack forming in the surface of the seat cushion trim. To eliminate this concern, the material of the door-side surface of the front seat cushion trim has been modified to improve tear strength and scratch resistance.
09-001-262026-02-03. Service bulletin. There are wrinkles on the leather seat cushion and/or seat back surface at PDI, when new vehicle is delivered, or when new upholstery is installed under Warranty repair. NOTE: This repair is not a permanent fix, it is meant to make new seats look their best when the vehicle is first presented to the customer. Wrinkles may not be completely removed after the repair is completed. Leather is a natural material and may develop some wrinkles due to aging and wear during normal usage.
09-036-252025-10-03. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain that the fabric part of the seat is fraying. This is caused by a lack of durability of the fabric. To eliminate this concern, the durability of the seat fabric has been improved.
09-016-252025-05-02. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain of a squeaking noise from the driver side seat back. The noise may be due to rubbing between the lumbar part of the driver’s seat back (1) and the rear console lid. The lumbar support pad may be deformed outward and may rub against the rear console lid while driving or when adjusting the seat memory. This can cause a squeaking noise.
