Service bulletin ITB04038A

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

If YOU CONFIRM: A vehicle needs to have the brake rotors resurfaced (front or rear). ACTION: Use the ProCut PFM Series on-car brake lathe to perform brake rotor resurfacing and follow the tips listed in this bulletin. - The ProCut PFM Series brake lathe has been chosen as the approved tool for rotor resurfacing. - The ProCut PFM Series brake lathe can be ordered from TECH-MATE at 1-800-662-2001. - ProCut technical support or service can be obtained by calling 1-800-543-6618. NOTE: Brake rotors may need to be resurfaced during routine brake repair or for brake "judder" incidents. - Brake judder: A brake pedal pulsation and/or steering wheel shimmy when braking that occurs when there is too much thickness variation of the brake rotors (see ITB00-024). See this bulletin for further detail.

P9242 2008-10 M2021-06-12. Service bulletin. Expiration Notification – Wheel Valve Stem Nut Retailer Announcement ***** Campaign Summary ***** In 2009, INFINITI launched a Voluntary Service Campaign on certain 2008-2010 M35/M45 vehicles registered in states that do not use heavy concentrations of road salt in the winter, to replace the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) nut with new, more corrosion resistant ones. INFINITI determined the material used in the nut on the M35/M45 that secures the TPMS sensor to the wheel, was not manufactured to specification and may corrode and potentially crack if driven regularly in areas where a heavy concentration of road salt is used during the winter. If this occurs, the nut may come out of the sensor causing the TPMS lamp to illuminate. If the TPMS lamp is disregarded, and the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the tire can quickly lose air pressure resulting in a flat tire. This customer service campaign and customer reimbursement for these repairs are no longer available. The expiration of this Voluntary Service Campaign has no effect on the status of Voluntary Safety Recall R0908. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Service Comm will deactivate P9242 on any VINs on May 13, 2021. No further retailer action is required.

ITB12026F2021-05-10. Service bulletin. IF YOU CONFIRM: An APPLIED VEHICLE has the MIL ON with DTC P0106 (Manifold Absolute Pressure [MAP] circuit range/performance) stored in the ECM. ACTION: 1. Refer to step 6 in the SERVICE PROCEDURE to confirm this bulletin applies to the vehicle you are working on. 2. If this bulletin applies, reprogram the ECM with CONSULT-III plus ONLY. See this bulletin for further detail.
ITB15018A2021-05-10. Service bulletin. IF YOU CONFIRM: "Brake Judder" during braking, especially when braking at highway speeds. Symptoms of "brake judder": - steering wheel shake - body vibration - brake pedal pulsation IMPORTANT NOTES: If any symptom above occurs when cruising or coasting (not braking), it is not "Brake Judder" and may be tire/wheel related. DO NOT CONFUSE "Brake Judder" with the rapid consistent-speed pedal pulsation that may be felt and only occurs when ABS is activated during hard braking or on slippery road surfaces. ACTION: 1. Inspect the front brake rotors to determine if "machining" ("turning") is possible or if replacement is necessary. 2. Replace both pad pins in both front 4-piston calipers (see PARTS INFORMATION). 3. Replace the front brake pads (see PARTS INFORMATION). See this bulletin for further detail.
ITB160112021-05-10. Service bulletin. IF YOU CONFIRM While turning the steering wheel or when driving at low speed (straight or turning), a high pitch power steering noise can be heard. * Only while seated inside the vehicle And * With all of the windows up NOTE: If the audio and/or HVAC systems are turned ON it may be difficult to hear this issue. ACTION Install Insulator onto power steering oil pump assembly with Service Procedure starting on next page. Please see this bulletin for further details.
