Various 2021-2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with the rear camera on demand feature may exhibit "Please Check Surroundings For Safety" or "Full View Not Available" messages when the rear camera button is pressed and the vehicle is not in reverse. Inform customers this condition is considered normal operation and does not affect vehicle durability because the full rear view camera image can only be shown when the vehicle is in reverse. No additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition. |
| SSM 51265 | 2023-01-06. Service bulletin. Some vehicles equipped with power folding mirrors may exhibit power folding mirrors that are inoperative or exhibit a clicking sound. This may be due to the mirrors being manually folded in, during transportation, going through a car wash, bumped in a parking lot, or found during pre-delivery inspection (PDI). Prior to the replacement of any components, attempt to synchronize the mirrors by following the Power Mirrors Synchronization procedure. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-09 Rear View Mirrors - General Procedures - Power Mirrors Synchronization. |
| SSM 49802 | 2021-06-01. Service bulletin. Some 2020 Transit vehicles upfitted by Utilimaster for Amazon may exhibit various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) concerns and/or blind spot, crosswalk, tire pressure monitor faults with one or more communication diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) for the MS1 CAN network. This may be caused by the blind spot information system (BLIS) wiring harness chafing on the Utilimaster installed bumper. Prior to performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, remove the rear bumper per WSM Section 501-19 to inspect the BLIS wire harness 15K868 for damage. If damage is not present, continue with normal diagnostics. This information is for diagnostic purposes and the repairs are not covered under the Bumper to Bumper Warranty. Have the customer contact Utilimaster for review of the repair for warranty. |
| TSB 21-2109 | 2021-05-04. Service bulletin. Some 2020 Transit vehicles may experience a pop/sizzle/crack noise from the exhaust. | TSB 19-2388 | 2020-01-07. Service bulletin. Some 2015-2019 Transit vehicles may exhibit poor air conditioning (A/C) performance. If the cause of this is found to be a refrigerant leak from the evaporator, this may be due to build up of contaminates inside the evaporator housing. To correct this concern, replace only the evaporator housing and install a cabin air filter as opposed to replacing the entire climate control housing assembly. |
| SSM 48135 | 2019-09-09. Service bulletin. Some 2013-2020 vehicles equipped with an EVDC air conditioning (A/C) compressor may exhibit poor A/C performance/improper climate function. To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC control valve tester has been provided to each U.S. dealership (339-EVDC100). Ensure the A/C system has a full charge prior to any compressor diagnostics. To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC compressor tool must be used, and the results recorded in the Technician comments field with the warranty claim. This tester will help reduce the potential for misdiagnosis and unnecessary compressor replacement. Refer to the Rotunda catalog for a video and user manual which provide detailed operating instructions. |
| SSM 48130 | 2019-09-06. Service bulletin. Some 2010-2020 vehicles may exhibit distorted glass with a subtle orange peel pattern or streaking etched into the surface. This is caused by hydrofluoric acid which is used in some car wash solutions as a cleaning agent. Hydrofluoric acid can attack the glass and cause visual distortion and/or discoloration on the outer surface which cannot be removed by further cleaning. If this type of distortion is found, inspect the area of the glass that is covered by the cowl and/or molding. The portion of glass that is covered by the cowl or molding will not be affected by the acid. Hydrofluoric acid damage is not a defect in material or workmanship and is not a warrantable condition. |
