NHTSA's summary

Some 2017 Continental/MKZ vehicles equipped with 3.0L engine and all-wheel drive (AWD), built on or before 12-May-2017 may exhibit an all-wheel drive malfunction warning message/wrench light along with DTC U2008 that occurs when using a conveyor type car wash. Connect the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or equivalent and check the AWD module for DTCs. If DTC U2008 is stored, then reprogram the AWD module to the latest level using IDS release 106.02 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com. For claiming, use causal part 7E453 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the service labor time standards (SLTS) manual.
