17V8100002017-12-15. EQUIPMENT. Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2002-2017 Freightliner Cascadia, Century Class, Columbia and Coronado trucks and Western Star 4700, 4900, 5700, 5900 and 6900 trucks. These vehicles are equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17E062-5427.pdf Built 2001-07-11 to 2016-08-19.
10V2600002010-06-14. STEERING. DTNA IS RECALLING CERTAIN 2002 THROUGH 2011 WESTERN STAR 4900 SA TRUCKS MANUFACTURER FROM DECEMBER 21, 2001 THROUGH JUNE 4, 2010. THE SPACER USED TO CONNECT THE AFT STEER AXLE IDLER ARM TO THE FRAME RAIL MAY DEVELOP CRACKS AND EVENTUALLY BREAK UNDER SEVERE STEERING CONDITIONS ALLOWING THE IDLER ARM TO SEPARATE FROM THE FRAME RAIL RESULTING IN DIMINISHED STEERING CONTROL. Built 2001-12-21 to 2010-06-04.
05V4530002005-10-05. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS FITTED WITH OPTIONAL IN-CAB BATTERIES, THE DUAL SUCTION/RETURN LINES MAY CONTACT THE CAB POWER HARNESS RESULTING IN CHAFING THROUGH. Built 2001-08-09 to 2005-06-02.
04V1200002004-03-08. STEERING:LINKAGES:DRAG:POWER ASSIST SYSTEM. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS AND TRUCK-TRACTORS EQUIPPED WITH TRW DRAG LINK ASSEMBLIES, THE REPLACEMENT CLAMP AND DRAG LINK ASSEMBLIES CONTAIN A POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE 5/8-11-GRADE B PREVAILING TORQUE HEX NUT. IF THE FINAL TIGHTENING IS LESS THAN 65 LB.-FT., THE CLAMP LOAD WOULD BE UNACCEPTABLY LOW AND COULD COMPROMISE THE INTEGRITY OF THE DRAG LINK. Built 2003-11-15 to 2004-01-12.

20205512020-11-12. Structure. Issue: On certain trucks, the welds that attach the trailer hitch may crack due to improper welding. As a result, the hitch could detach from the truck while towing a trailer. Note: This recall only affects certain trucks with trailer hitches installed by Commercial Truck Equipment. Safety Risk: A trailer that detaches from a truck could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Commercial Truck Equipment will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the trailer hitch and repair or replace it, as necessary. You should stop using the trailer hitch until the inspection and repair have been completed.
20176362017-12-18. Accessories. On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Note: For more information about recalled fire extinguishers, please visit www.kidde.com.
20102012010-06-14. Steering. On certain twin-steer 4900SA vehicles, the spacer used to connect the aft steer axle idler arm to the frame rail may develop cracks and eventually break under severe steering conditions. This would allow the idler arm to separate from the frame rail, resulting in diminished steering control, which could lead to a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the tubular shaped spacer bracket with a solid spacer block.
20053202005-10-18. Fuel System. On certain vehicles fitted with optional in-cab batteries, fuel lines may contact the cab power harness, resulting in chafe damage that could present a fire hazard. Correction: Dealers will reroute and secure the fuel lines.
20051412005-05-10. Heater And Defroster. On certain vehicles, burner tubes in the Webasto DBW 2010 Scholastic coolant heater may begin deteriorating at an accelerated rate and could fail. Burner tube failure could result in an increase in exhaust gas temperature which could ignite combustible material in or around the vehicle. Correction: Dealers will replace the burner tubes.
20040852004-03-08. Steering. On certain vehicles, the TRW drag link clamp assembly may contain an improperly torqued hex nut. If the final tightening of this nut is less than 65 ft.lbs, the clamp load would be unacceptably low and could compromise the integrity of the drag link to the point where the ball socket could separate causing a loss of steering control which could result in a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealer will re-torque the drag link nut to between 70 and 85 ft.lbs.
20031582003-06-19. Other. On certain vehicles, fatigue cracks can initiate in the weld joining the bracket pin to its mounting flange on the fifth wheel assembly. Weld failures could lead to the loss of the pin and the potential separation of the fifth wheel top plate from its mounting structure without warning. Correction: Dealers will replace the bracket pins.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
