By component
| 01V387000 | 2001-12-17. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH CATERPILLAR 3406E AND C-15 ENGINES, INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE AND STUD MOUNTING ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE (ECM) TO THE ENGINE EXISTS. CHAFING CAN WEAR THROUGH THE BATTERY CABLE INSULATION TO ALLOW CONTACT BETWEEN THE BATTERY CABLE AND THE STUD. Built 1998-12-01 to 2000-02-10. |
|---|---|
| 01V167002 | 2001-05-14. SUSPENSION. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH CHALMERS 1000 AND 800 SERIES SUSPENSION KITS. THESE SUSPENSION KITS MAY HAVE INSUFFICIENT PENETRATION OF THE WELD ATTACHING THE TORQUE ROD EYE TO THE TORQUE ROD TUBE. Built 2000-05-08 to 2000-10-06. |
| 2005320 | 2005-10-18. Fuel System. On certain vehicles fitted with optional in-cab batteries, fuel lines may contact the cab power harness, resulting in chafe damage that could present a fire hazard. Correction: Dealers will reroute and secure the fuel lines. |
|---|---|
| 2002064 | 2002-04-04. Electrical. On certain trucks the positive battery cable routing past the ECM may allow the cable to chafe against the ECM mounting stud. Chafing may wear through the protective loom and battery cable insulation to allow contact between the cable and the stud. This contact would provide a short circuit which may cause a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace and/or reroute the cables. |
| 2001133 | 2001-05-10. Suspension. Certain trucks equipped with Chalmers suspensions may suffer torque rod eye to tube weld failure which may cause a lack of vehicle control. Correction: Dealers will replace the torque rods. |
| 2000230 | 2000-10-16. Steering. On certain vehicles, the TRW tie rod and drag link ball stud ends contain bearing that are below the specified case depth and/or hardness. This can lead to premature wear out and a possible separation of the ball stud from the socket and loss of steering control. Correction: All affected tie rods and drag links with different design ends will be replaced. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
