United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
25V6540002025-09-30. STRUCTURE:BODY:HATCHBACK/LIFTGATE:SUPPORT DEVICE/STRUT. Volvo Car USA, LLC (Volvo) is recalling certain 2025 EX90 vehicles. A spindle nut may detach from the Power Operated Tailgate (POT) drive units, causing the tailgate to suddenly drop. Built 2024-04-22 to 2025-02-17.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20255202025-09-30. Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, the power liftgate strut(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the strut(s) could separate and the liftgate could drop suddenly. Safety Risk: A liftgate that drops suddenly could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Volvo recommends not to use the power liftgate function until the recall repairs are completed. Volvo will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the power liftgate struts.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
