Service bulletins for the 2006 Volkswagen Jetta
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TT2006145 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR. If replacing the high pressure fuel pump, also remove the cam follower from the timing cover/cylinder head and inspect for wear. Reference Technical Bulletin 2015153 (V151401). |

| TT2006101 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:SUPPLY:PRESSURE GUAGE; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. If you have a complaint of DTCs for the low side fuel pressure being out of specification (e.g. P310B), check the fuel pressure with BOTH a mechanical gauge and by the display in Measured Value Block 103. The readings should be 1 bar higher in the MVB due to reading atmospheric pressure + fuel pressure. If the mechanical gauge reading is within specification BUT the MVB 103 reading is not 1 bar higher, check for a possible faulty G410 Low Fuel Pressure sensor. |
| TT001403 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT:BLUETOOTH/WIFI; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. When performing SVM updates, the scan tool should be hardwired to the vehicle and the Bluetooth physically turned off. A hard wired internet connection is also recommended. |
| TT001304A | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. If a needed service part is on back order, upgrade the daily order to a red order and check the ?Car Down? box to escalate the order. If parts assistance is needed, please call 800-767-6552 to speak with a VWGoA Parts Specialist. |

| TT4506122 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. WHEELS; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:WHEEL SPEED SENSOR/TONE RING; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Use the following procedure to diagnose active wheel speed sensor complaints: |
| TT321401 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Incorrect torque converter or flywheel/flexplate installation can result in transmission damage. When installing an engine, flywheel or transmission, please follow the installation procedures outlined in ELSA. For the flywheel/flexplate, please be certain the correct shim is installed between it and the crankshaft (reference VWIQ120). When installing a torque converter, press the torque converter hub through the seal as far as the first stop. Turn the torque converter while pushing toward the transmission using light force, until the cut outs in the torque converter hub lock into the pump wheel plate. The torque converter slides in. The torque converter is installed correctly if it is easy to turn by hand and if it fits evenly in the transmission bell housing. Additionally, it should spin freely when the transmission bell housing bolts are torqued to the engine block, prior to installation of the flywheel to converter bolts (reference VWIQ121). |
| TT271301 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. When diagnosing a generator charging concern, it is recommended to verify operation of the one way clutch located in the generator pulley (if equipped) before replacing generator assembly. To check the one way clutch, remove the belt from the generator pulley and use a trim removal tool to hold fan blades inside generator, as shown below. When attempting to turn pulley by hand with fan blades held, pulley should spin freely in only one direction. If pulley spins freely in both directions, the one way clutch has failed and should be replaced before continuing diagnosis. |
| TT241302 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. When diagnosing a no crank/no start concern with no ECM communication, be sure to check ECM 30 power circuit to T121/62. |

For concerns of Fault Code P117A ?Bank 1, correction Lambda middle reached adjustment limit? stored in the ECM, check that the O2 sensors have not been installed or connected improperly. |
| TT2407103 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). When diagnosing fault code P2279-Leaking Air in Intake System, be sure to check the cam timing first. |
| TT211301 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. PARKING BRAKE. If mechanical damage is found to the turbocharger (e.g. damaged compression wheel, loose or broken shaft), it is not enough to just replace the turbocharger. |
| TT211001 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. When diagnosis on the above engine leads to the testing of the N75, please refer to the picture below. The diagram shows which vacuum ports on the N75 valve should hold vacuum and which ones should not. |
