Service bulletins for the 2009 Volkswagen Eos

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

662 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

TT6107122023-07-17. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. It is acceptable to have a few water droplets enter the vehicle under certain circumstances. As described in the Owner?s Manual, this vehicle is not to be subjected to high pressure washes, neither brushless automatic nor handheld. Under these situations the seals cannot withstand the amount of pressure generated (up to 3500 PSI). Also it may be likely in a heavy rain for there to be an occasional seepage. This should not be severe, but is possible due to the external sealing of the hardtop.
TT6014012023-07-17. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. If the sunroof / sunshade intermediate drive gear has been removed for a repair, please review the following picture for the correct orientation for the installation of the gear.
TT5713022023-07-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:ANTI-THEFT:IMMOBILIZER/PROXIMITY:KEY/SENDER. If key blade is found to stick or bind when opening or closing, check position of roll pin that secures key blade to mechanism. If roll pin is sticking out on either side (as shown below), do not replace key. Instead, use appropriate sized punch and hammer to drive in the roll pin so that it is flush with edge of mechanism.
SVM33392023-07-17. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. For an upcoming campaign that will include all MY09-14 TDI (CBEA/CJAA) vehicles, we need to test the SVM3339 code in 200 vehicles of various model-years and engine/transmission combinations.
Warranty2023-07-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Volkswagen Warranty Policies and Procedures ? April 2014
VWS13032023-07-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT. In SAGA, the time units for the Volkswagen DoubleCheck labor operation were reduced in error from 50 time units to 30 time units during the system update posted on July 4th.
VWP14032023-07-17. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Because Volkswagen supports the development and use of renewable fuels (such as biodiesel fuel blends), customers with certain 2009-2015 MY Volkswagen TDIĀ® Clean Diesel Engine vehicles registered in the State of Minnesota only will receive a communication in July 2014 regarding the use of biodiesel fuel blends in their vehicles.
TT5014012023-07-10. Service bulletin. WHEELS; TIRES. The use of tire dressing gives your tires that shiny finish that completes the image of a clean (new) vehicle. There are many different tire dressing products available. When choosing a product please pay close attention to its contents. Always use a water based product.
TT4810042023-07-10. Service bulletin. STEERING; STEERING:CRITICAL FASTENERS. If the steering rack is replaced on the above models for any reason, it is necessary to replace the steering harness as well. The new harness may be equipped with an extra connector. If all connections are made correctly, then it is necessary to remove that connector and tape the exposed wires back into the harness. Be sure to tape tightly in order to provide a water-tight repair.
TT4509042023-07-10. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION; STEERING:RACK AND PINION:RACK; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ADAS:PARKING ASSIST:SENSORS; POWER TRAIN; STEERING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STEERING:STEERING CONTROL MODULE. Some Golf, GTI, Jetta, and Passat vehicles equipped with electromechanical power steering have the G85 steering angle sensor located in the steering rack. These vehicles do not have a G85 in the steering column. To determine G85 location, check the J500 Power steering control module part number in the GFF printout. Do not use the part number on the steering rack for this check.
TT4509032023-07-10. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS; STEERING; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:ELECTRIC:CONTROL MODULE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STEERING:RACK AND PINION:RACK. If, after replacement of the steering rack, fault code 01309 008 is set in the ABS/ESP module only, follow the test plan in GFF for Driver Steering Recommendation (DSR) or channel 3 activation. If the test plan fails to clear the fault, follow the direction below using Vehicle Self Diagnosis in Address Word 44 - Steering Assistance
TT2013022023-07-10. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Be aware that fuel lines are color coded on vehicles with return fuel pressure lines. The black line is for fuel pressure supply and the blue line is for fuel pressure return. To verify correct line installation, remove the metal cover exposing the fuel pump flange assembly (generally under the rear seat). Refer to the ELSA Repair Manual for specific location. Check for raised arrows on the flange housing. The black line (Fuel Pressure Supply) attaches to the connection with the arrow pointing away from it. The blue line (fuel return) attaches to the connection with arrow pointing to it.
TT201301a2023-07-10. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM); FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER. To clear static ECM fault P1250 ?Fuel Level Too Low?, add fuel to vehicle and complete a road test of at least 10 miles. Simply adding fuel without completing a road test may not allow fault to clear.

TT131301a2023-07-10. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. When servicing the timing chain sprocket or removing the vibration damper, be aware that one bolt holds both the vibration damper (harmonic balancer) and the crankshaft timing chain sprocket to the crankshaft. Once the damper is removed, the crankshaft should not be rotated unless special tool spacer T10368 has been installed. The crankshaft timing chain sprocket and spur gear drive on the crankshaft have a coupling that must be seated correctly during assembly. Failure to install special tool spacer T10368 before rotating engine will cause the engine to skip time and bend valves.
TT1313012023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN. CBFA 2.0T TSI Engine
TT011401a2023-07-10. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Install a vacuum gauge on the dipstick tube and check crankcase vacuum at idle. Compare to a known good vehicle. If the vacuum reading is lower than the comparison vehicle, visually inspect for oil leaks between the engine and the transmission. Smoke test the crankcase by connecting the EVAP smoke machine to the dipstick tube and inspect for leaks at the rear main seal (this will limit pressure to 2 PSI). DO NOT apply shop air to the dipstick tube or the crankcase. If a rear main seal leak is identified, replace the seal. Once replaced, recheck crankcase vacuum at idle. If low, check for additional oil leaks and verify crankcase breather operation (repairing as necessary). Erase the faults and road test 10 miles to recheck operation.
