Service bulletins for the 2007 Volkswagen Beetle

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

347 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

CSC-37E6/S82011-04-25. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. VOLKSWAGEN SERVICE CAMPAIGN: SEE DOCUMENT SEARCH BUTTON FOR OWNER LETTER. IN SOME VEHICLES IT IS POSSIBLE THAT A BUSHING INSIDE THE MECHATRONIC UNIT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO WEAR OUT PREMATURELY, CAUSING THE CLUTCHES INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION TO OPERATE LESS SMOOTHLY THAN BEFORE. THE DRIVER WILL BEGIN TO NOTICE CHANGES IN THE WAY THE VEHICLE FEELS AS THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS (JERKING). THIS CHANGE CAN BECOME VERY PRONOUNCED, THE VEHICLE REMAINS SAFE TO DRIVE. *PE

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
