Service bulletins for the 2012 Toyota Tacoma
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| T-SB-0044-16 | 2018-07-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; STRUCTURE. TSB: On some vehicles, when Rapgard? is removed, the paint may have a stained appearance. These stains appear to be under the clear coat (repainting this area is not necessary). The stain patterns are usually under wrinkles in the Rapgard?. | T-SB-0040-18 | 2018-06-18. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:BUMPERS. TSB: Referencing this Service Bulletin provides best practice procedures when reassembling and installing the front shock absorber with coil spring. Some 2005 - 2015 model year Tacoma vehicles with applicable VDS have a different coil spring diameter. This may lead to a lateral force applied to the support plate upon reassembly of the front shock absorber with coil spring assembly. This may cause the inner rubber sleeve of the support plate to pull out when spring tension is released and the support plate to tilt. NOTE This Service Bulletin ONLY provides best practices for front shock absorber with coil spring assembly. The Repair Manual MUST be referenced with this bulletin when performing front shock absorber with coil spring assembly replacement. |

| T-SB-0187-12 | 2018-04-23. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Toyota vehicles are equipped with either conventional or run-flat tires. Sometimes punctures may occur as a result of contact with road debris or other hazards. If a puncture occurs, it may be possible to repair the tire and return it to service. With a conventional tire it is not possible to drive for an extended amount of time with the tire at low pressures as damage to the tire may occur. With run-flat tires, due to reinforced sidewalls, it is possible to drive for up to 100 miles (160 km) at speeds less than 55 mph (90 km/h) with little or no damage to the tire. |
