| 122-D4S3S-01 | 2018-01-29. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concern: On vehicles with a conventional drive system, the fuel that gets into the engine oil is evaporated by the high operating temperatures of the combustion engine. However, this fuelmight not evaporate fully due to the comparably low temperatures of the engine in hybrid mode on the affected vehicles. If the combustion engine does not reach a higher operating temperature for a long time, e.g. during frequent short trips, this can cause the oil level to increase to such an extent that the oil level measurement will activate the warning message "Oil level above maximum" in the instrument cluster. However, the functional properties of the engine oil are always guaranteed. |

| 122-W7F5R-05 | 2017-12-22. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that parts from a certain batch that do not meet the required specifications were installed in control units for the high-voltage battery on the affected vehicles. As a result, the high-voltage system can fail when attempting to start the vehicle. If this happens, the vehicle will not start and the warning message "Hybrid system failure" will appear in the instrument cluster. |
| 122-W9M4S-12 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Subject: Charging socket Symptom: Water does not sufficiently drain away from the charging socket area, especially after heavy rain. The water may remain in the charging socket for some time. Electrical components of the charging socket, such as switches, connectors or LEDs, are corroded. This may also cause a check engine warning, hybrid warnings, and various fault codes related to the high voltage battery charger. |
| 122-T7Y5Q-12 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This document updates information previously published in EQ 1105, EQ 1105, and EQ 1401. To provide stable voltage and sufficient current throughout certain service operations, you should connect the vehicle to a battery charger (sometimes referred to as a power supply). However, you may experience ECU programming and coding issues if the chosen battery charger has insufficient power. Many workshop manuals currently advise use of a battery charger with a 40 or 70 A current rating. However, with the increasing current requirements of modern Porsche vehicles, we recommend a battery charger capable of producing a minimum current of 90 A. |
| 122-F3H8X-11 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Subject: Air-conditioning system function Situation: Customers complain that the air conditioning does not function at times or after starting it. This can result in a situation in which the maximum control current is not sufficient to actuate the valves. As a result, a warning message will be displayed in the instrument cluster and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) will stop working temporarily. Re-program PASM control unit using the PIWIS Tester with software version 33.010.030 (PIWIS Tester 3) or version 17.100.030 (PIWIS Tester II) or a higher software version installed. |
| 122-L4X2R-10 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM. There is a possibility that the function of the change-over valve for the sport exhaust system can fail as a result of water leaking in and causing corrosion. If this happens, the mode that was activated last will remain active. It will no longer be possible to switch between Sport and Normal mode in this case.In the event of a customer complaint or spare parts requirements for the change-over valve, the change-over valve and several individual components must be replaced - until such a time as the change-over valve becomes available as a repair kit, |

| 122-W6E3D-03 | 2017-10-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. No cooling in the passenger compartment. NOTE: A low state of charge of the High Voltage Battery can cause the AC to be deactivated until the state of charge increases to an adequate level. Customers who do not plug their vehicle in on a regular basis may have this issue. There are two shut off valves in the refrigeration circuit. 1. The chiller shut off valve is normally open and requires 12V be applied to it from the AC control unit to close it. This would stop cooling of the high voltage battery. a. Power and ground from the AC CU can be checked at the connector of the valve. 2. The evaporator shut off valve is normally closed and requires 12V to be applied to it, via a relay, in order for the valve to open and provide cooling to the passenger compartment. a. The evaporator shut off valve can be diagnosed easily by removing the relay and jumping the load contacts of the relay to see if power makes it to the valve. Power at the valve opens it and the evaporator gets cold with normal AC operation. b. The relay winding circuit can be tested for power and ground from the AC CU. |
| 122-J8S9J-11 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Customer complaint about loss of coolant, visible on the underside of the engine/where the vehicle was parked. Sometimes a yellow warning comes on in the instrument cluster with the information message? "Refill coolant Observe engine temperature". Component tolerances between the coolant pipe flange and distributor housing can cause leaks. |
| 122-Y6G5Z-11 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE. The unwarranted errormessages "Hybrid system fault" and "Reduced engine power" can appear sporadically in the instrument cluster on the affected vehicles under certain driving conditions because the diagnostic function for the hybrid decoupler is too sensitive. If this happens, engine power will be reduced and the Check Engine light will be activated until the ignition is switched off and on again. |
| 122-G8Z4D-10 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS:SWITCH. | 122-B7U4T-05 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Customer Concern: Certain vehicle systems have unwanted, unpredictable behavior. Technical Concern: The symptoms are difficult to diagnose. There may be multiple symptoms intermittently affecting multiple systems. Though this is not an exhaustive list, some common failure modes are: ? Start/stop issues ? Power windows not fully returning to the parked position after automatic preopening ? PCM audio stopping during a start/stop cycle Ultimately, the technician determines that low 12-volt battery voltage is the underlying root cause of the unwanted behavior. The technician corrects the battery?s low voltage. Consequently, the unwanted behavior ends. |
| 122-B3K4R-05 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. WHEELS. Issue: Fault P029900-Turbo/Super Charger Underboost stored in the DME. Information: A vacuum line at the vacuum reservoir in the left front wheel well was not connected properly during production and may become disconnected (see the picture below). Concerns: High-voltage battery control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. New software for the high-voltage battery control unit is available for the affected vehicles. This software improves or corrects the following: The temperature of the high-voltage battery is monitored by two temperature sensors for each cell module. The current diagnostic setup of the high-voltage system does not allow for this redundancy and causes the warning message "Hybrid system failure - Park vehicle safely" to be displayed in the instrument cluster if one temperature sensor fails even though the temperature of the cell module is still monitored reliably by the remaining sensor. |
| 122-C9F4B-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: DME control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles.
