Service bulletins for the 2014 Porsche Panamera
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A new data record for the PDK control unit is available for the affected vehicles. * PDKcontrolunit: With the previous data record for the PDK control unit, slowly braking the vehicle when the PDK transmission shifts down from 2nd to 1st gear just before the vehicle comes to a standstill or even when switching from coasting mode to normal driving can result in a hard and clearly perceptible gear change. |
| 122-E7Q7N-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Concerns: Oil guide housing Information: Oil leak ("sweating", drops of oil) on engine in oil guide housing area We have discovered that the cause of some leaks in the specified area could not be detected and determined definitively in the dealer organisation when attempting to resolve the complaint "Oil leak"1 . As a result, some of the measures that were carried out were not always effective. |
| 122-J8S7Q-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: Power electronics for the high-voltage system Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. A fault can occur in the temperature monitoring system for the high-voltage system at low outside temperatures due to a software error in the power electronics. If this happens, the yellow warning message "Hybrid system fault" will be displayed in the instrument cluster and the performance of the electric motor will be reduced by up to 50%. But the vehicle can still be driven. |
| 122-A2N2B-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Concerns: ? Decoupler for hybrid system ? High-voltage battery control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. ? Minimal clutch slip can occur on the decoupler for the hybrid system in certain driving conditions on new vehicles with a lowmileage as a result of corrosion protection residues. As a result, the error message "Hybrid system failure - Park vehicle safely" can appear in the instrument cluster. The vehicle is ready to drive again after switching the ignition off and on again, but the fault can occur again up to and including the tenth time the combustion engine is engaged. ? The history-based electric energy requirements, among other things, are taken into account when calculating the vehicle's electric range. Depending on the driving profile while transporting the vehicle (e.g. high electric energy requirements when manoeuvring the vehicle), the customer may find that a low electric range is displayed initially following vehicle delivery. |
| 122-V8Q9H-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM. Concerns: High-voltage battery Information: This is to inform you of a Stop Sale/Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that high-voltage batteries from a batch that does not conform to the high quality standards of Porsche AGmay have been installed in the affected vehicles. As a result, the high-voltage battery may fail after the vehicle has been driven for just a short time. If this happens, the message "Hybrid system failure" will be displayed in the instrument cluster |
| 122-L5V7C-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:HOSES/LINES/PIPING/FITTINGS; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Concerns: Retainer spring for pressure hose on the turbocharger Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the charge-air pressure hoses are not secured sufficiently to the turbochargers on the affected vehicles due to unfavorable tolerances. As a result, the pressure hoses can slip off the turbochargers |
| 122-D7F5F-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; HYBRID PROPULSION SYSTEM. Concerns: High-voltage battery control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. The errormessage "Hybrid system failure - Park vehicle safely" can appear sporadically in the instrument cluster on the affected vehicles because the high-voltage system diagnostic function is too sensitive. The vehicle can then no longer be driven. |
| 122-F4A5V-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Concerns: Rear-end electronics control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. New data records for the rear-end electronics control unit are available for the affected vehicles. |
| 122-J8K5C-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Concerns: DME control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. A software error in the DME control unit can cause jerking fromthe vehicle's drive train during acceleration. |
| 122-H3G7P-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Concerns: Instrument cluster Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles.Due to a software error in the instrument cluster, the departure time set in the departure timermay be read incorrectly while the high-voltage battery is charging. As a result, there is a possibility that the vehicle's high-voltage battery may not be fully charged by the required departure time. |
| 122-W3M6V-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: Gateway control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. The range on remaining fuel calculation may be inaccurate in the affected vehicles due to a software error. As a result, the range on remaining fuel calculation displayed may be up to 60 miles (100 km) less than the range achievable on the remaining fuel. |
| 122-T2Y5H-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Concerns: Suspension alignment Information: This is to inform you of a Stop Sale Campaign/Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. Concerns: Tire Pressure Monitoring control unit (referred to below as "TPM control unit") Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. High speeds (> 165mph/270 km/h) can cause an implausible warning message due to a software error in the TPM control unit. If this happens, the warning message "Tire pressure! Reduce speed" appears in the instrument cluster, although no pressure loss has occurred in the tire. |
| 122-W9W2E-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN.
