Service bulletins for the 2015 Porsche Macan

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

122-V2L9S-062018-06-25. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Subject: Transfer case and transfer case control unit (all-wheel drive control unit)
122-K5X7U-052018-05-21. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE). Subject: Transfer case and transfer case control unit (all-wheel drive control unit)
122-L7P4X-032018-03-13. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE); POWER TRAIN. The "transfer case" is designed as an active all-wheel drive system that is dynamically adapted to the respective driving state. Power transmission between the front and rear axle is controlled electronically via the "all-wheel drive servomotor (transfer case)" and themulti-plate clutches integrated in the transfer case. ? On all-wheel drive vehicles, the drive train can become strained at low speeds and when the steering is turned sharply when "Off-roadmode" is activated, depending on design. ? Under extreme conditions, the drive train can also become strained when "Off-roadmode" is deactivated. ? Customers with little experience with all-wheel drive vehicles can interpret this behavior as a fault, which in turn can result in incorrect diagnoses in the workshop. Remedial action: Customer complaint to be checked: ? Rough-running engine or ? thevehicle vibrates or ? theengine jerks under load/during acceleration.
122-N4J6S-092018-01-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Oil leak/leak on PDK transmission close to the connection point between the intermediate housing and cover. Insufficient cross-cut made at the flange and as a result, the sealant has not bonded sufficiently.
122-G4Q9C-052017-12-22. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Concerns: All-wheel drive control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the active all-wheel drive system Porsche TractionManagement (PTM) on the affected vehicles will deliver toomuch propulsion force to the front axle when taking off at full load. This can put greater strain on the inner joints of the front drive shafts under certain conditions, e.g. when off-road mode is activated. This can result in noises or vibrations in the front axle area.
122-T8T3K-102017-10-15. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Information: In certain driving situations, the transmission only switches from 1st to 2nd gear at a significantly higher engine speed when selector-lever position "D" is engaged.
122-E8R2D-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE). Concerns: All-wheel drive control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. Due to an error in the current software for the all-wheel drive control unit, there is a possibility that the all-wheel drive control unit will not be initialized at times after switching on the ignition and as a result, the vehicle's CAN system cannot establish communication with the all-wheel drive control unit.
122-F5P9T-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Concerns: DME control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. New data records for the DME control unit are available for the affected vehicles.
122-X7N8S-052017-09-14. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Concerns: PDK control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. A new data record for the PDK control unit is available for the affected vehicles. * PDKcontrolunit: With the previous data record for the PDK control unit, slowly braking the vehicle when the PDK transmission shifts down from 2nd to 1st gear just before the vehicle comes to a standstill or even when switching from coasting mode to normal driving can result in a hard and clearly perceptible gear change.
