Service bulletins for the 2017 Porsche 911
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-Z6Y2F-03 | 2018-03-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Subject: Coolant pump Information: Due to amanufacturing error, the coolant pump can leak into the vacuum area. The warning "Engine too hot" can also be displayed in the instrument cluster in some cases. In the event of a complaint about coolant loss and if the fault diagnosis indicates a leak in the coolant pump, all vacuum lines for the coolant pumpmust be checked for traces of coolant. If traces of coolant are found in the vacuum lines: |
| 122-P3H6B-09 | 2018-01-29. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OTHER FUEL TYPES:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Mechanical blockage of the adjustment mechanism due to accumulation of ice and dirt. Check adjustment mechanism on both turbochargers and clean it if necessary. |
| 122-J5M3M-11 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Concern: Vehicle is stored for a long period of time in the sun and heat, typically 30 days or more. Several cases of compressors seizing have occurred at PDI. Please use the procedure below during the PDI as a precaution. |
| 122-Y8J4E-11 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Information: Debris from the production process can cause the check valves in the oil supply and return lines for the turbocharger to stick open. This allows either too much oil to enter or not enough oil to exit the turbocharger and will overwhelm the seal. Action required: DO NOT replace the turbocharger(s). Remove the pressure pipes from the turbochargers to determine which side is stuck open. Replace that line. |
| 122-U8F6U-10 | 2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. There is a possibility that the float in the coolant reservoir can stick at the lowest position due to unfavourable tolerances. If this happens, the warning message "Refill coolant immediately! Do not drive on" will be activated in the instrument cluster when the engine is at operating temperature. |
| 122-M9M8F-08 | 2017-10-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. General information: A parts kit is available for increasing the performance of the standard engine. Increased performance is achieved by implementing the following measures on the engine: ? New exhaust turbochargers (referred to hereafter as turbochargers) with larger turbine/compressor wheel diameters and a higher volume. ? Modified maps for the DME control unit. |
| 122-F6D4C-03 | 2017-10-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. There is a possibility that the fastening screws for the fuel collection pipes on the affected vehicles can shear off due to stress corrosion cracking. If this happens, the high fuel pressure that builds up in the fuel injection system when the engine is running can press the relevant fuel collection pipe off the fuel injectors. This can cause a fuel leak in the engine compartment. Replace fastening screws for both fuel collection pipes. |
| 122-X8X4D-11 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE. The yellow warning message "Engine fan failure, Avoid full engine load, Driving permitted" appears in the multi-function display. Moisture seeping into the engine-compartment blower causes corrosion and the engine-compartment blower can fail as a result. |
| 122-D5Q7B-09 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Information: Debris from the production process can get caught in the check valve in the oil supply line to the turbocharger and cause it to stick open. This allows too much oil to enter the turbocharger and overwhelms the seal. Beginning on 08.17.2016 an extra check for debris was implemented in production to avoid this issue in the field |
| 122-H9A7N-09 | 2016-11-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OTHER FUEL TYPES:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER.
