Service bulletins for the 2012 Porsche 911

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

122-Z5F9U-062017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: PDK control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on certain 911 Carrera (991) and 911 Carrera S (991) vehicles. The PDK control unit can sometimes be misdiagnosed on the affected vehicles due to a software error if the engine is switched off in selector-lever positions "P" or "D" and is then re-started again in selector-lever position "N". As a result, fault code "P1772 - Gear valve 2 stuck on pressure" is stored in the fault memory of the PDK control unit and the PDK transmission switches to the reduced driving program until the ignition is switched off and on again.
122-H4Y4X-062017-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. There is the possibility that an implausible oil pressure will be measured and stored in the DME control unit after switching off the engine on the affected vehicles. As a result, this can cause the oil pressure warning light to be activated unnecessarily in the instrument cluster the next time the engine is started. To remedy the situation, re-program the DME control unit using a modified data record.

Concerns: PDK control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. A shift rod movement at a shift gate that was not selected can be detected incorrectly on the affected vehicles due to a software error. As a result, fault code "P1767 - Hydraulic multiplexer fault" can be stored in the fault memory of the PDK control unit and the PDK transmission can switch to the reduced driving programme until the ignition is switched off and on again.
122-K9M6Z-062017-07-28. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING; ENGINE.
