Service bulletins for the 2010 Porsche 911
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-T7Y5Q-12 | 2017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This document updates information previously published in EQ 1105, EQ 1105, and EQ 1401. To provide stable voltage and sufficient current throughout certain service operations, you should connect the vehicle to a battery charger (sometimes referred to as a power supply). However, you may experience ECU programming and coding issues if the chosen battery charger has insufficient power. Many workshop manuals currently advise use of a battery charger with a 40 or 70 A current rating. However, with the increasing current requirements of modern Porsche vehicles, we recommend a battery charger capable of producing a minimum current of 90 A. |
| 122-E3L8H-03 | 2017-10-25. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Cause: Noises can be caused by excessive relative movements between the individual components. Remedial Action: Rework sliding roof seal. |
| 122-X5P4C-11 | 2017-10-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Spare parts requirements for components on the power distributor (housing/pin/cable) or in the event of complaints relating to the overall power supply on the vehicle and if a "corroded pin in the power distributor" is determined as the cause of the problem, the pin (? Replacing pin) must be replaced. |
| 122-H9M5Z-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE). Concerns: Clutch pedal switch Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is the possibility that plastic particles may be deposited on the contacts of the clutch pedal switch on the affected vehicles over their service life, causing electric malfunctions of the switch. As a result, the message "Depress clutch pedal" may be displayed in the instrument cluster when you try to start the engine, although the clutch pedal is already pressed, and the engine only starts after several attempts |
| 122-V9B2C-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Concerns: DME control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on certain 2010 to 2012 model year 911 GT3 (997)/911 GT3 RS (997)/911 GT3 RS 4.0 (997) vehicles. There is the possibility that an implausible oil pressure will be measured and stored in the DME control unit after switching off the engine on the affected vehicles. As a result, this can cause the oil pressure warning light to be activated unnecessarily in the instrument cluster the next time the engine is started. To remedy the situation, re-program the DME control unit using a modified data record. |
| 122-D5B3L-06 | 2017-07-28. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Center intake-air distributor Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. An intake-air distributor, on which the shaft for guiding the resonance flap does notmeet the required specifications, may have been installed on the affected vehicles. As a result, the shaftmay break and broken pieces may get into the intake duct and end up in the combustion chambers. This can cause loud noises. It can also result in mechanical damage if the engine is not stopped in time. |
| 122-W9N9W-06 | 2017-07-28. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Concerns: Temperature sensor in PDK transmission Information: Defective crimp connection on temperature sensor in PDK transmission. Defective crimp connections on the temperature sensor in the PDK transmission can cause the warning message ?Gearbox emergency operation? to be displayed. |
