| 19V452000 | 2019-06-14. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS. PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 1990-2020 Peterbilt 320 and 520 vehicles built with specific amber rear turn signals. The turn signals may also light up with the stop/tail lights when the brakes are applied. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Built 1989-06-01 to 2019-04-30. |

| 15V309000 | 2015-05-26. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE. PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain model year 2010-2016 Kenworth T440, T800, and W900 trucks manufactured August 31, 2009, to April 20, 2015, and 2008-2015 Peterbilt 320, 337, 348, 365, 382, and 384 trucks manufactured July 27, 2007, to April 28, 2015, and equipped with certain Cummins Westport ISL G engines. Excessive engine crankcase pressures may cause the 90-degree elbow of the vent tube assembly to detach from the crankcase ventilation breather, possibly allowing engine oil to come into contact with hot surfaces. Built 2007-07-27 to 2015-04-28. |
| 08V510000 | 2008-10-03. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL. PACCAR IS RECALLING 60 MY 2008-2009 320 TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH CATERPILLAR C13 DIESEL ENGINES. THE EXTENSION PIPES ATTACHED TO THE AFTERTREATMENT REGENERATION DEVICE (ARD) MAY DEVELOP A HOLE, AND HEAT AND FLAME MAY ESCAPE DURING A REGENERATION OF THE DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER. Built 2006-09-12 to 2008-08-18. |
| 08V002000 | 2008-01-08. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:SUPPLY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. CERTAIN TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH EATON SYNFLEX ECLIPSE BRAND EXTRUDED NYLON AIR BRAKE HOSE TUBING FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 106, "BRAKE HOSES." THE TUBING WAS MANUFACTURED WITH ONLY FOUR LAYERS OF NYLON MATERIAL, INSTEAD OF THE SPECIFIED FIVE LAYERS. Built 2007-10-16 to 2007-11-14. |
| 07V591000 | 2007-12-20. STEERING:GEAR BOX:SHAFT SECTOR. ON CERTAIN KENWORTH AND PETERBILT HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH TAS-85 TRW STEERING GEARS, THE INNER SURFACE OF THE OUTER SECTOR SHAFT TEETH OF THE STEERING GEARS MAY HAVE AN INCORRECT INVOLUTE PROFILE, WHICH MAY LEAD TO CHIPPING AND DAMAGE OF THE GEARING SYSTEM. Built 2007-08-24 to 2007-11-21. |
| 07V287000 | 2007-07-05. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS BUILT WITH CUMMINS ISM C876 ENGINES, THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE FAILS TO RECOGNIZE INPUTS OF THE VEHICLE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT OR FROM A DRIVER ACTUATED DASH SWITCH THEREBY INCREASING THE RISK OF UNINTENDED (OR UNEXPECTED) ELEVATED EXHAUST TEMPERATURES. Built 2006-09-15 to 2007-04-27. |
| 07V276000 | 2007-06-27. PARKING BRAKE. CERTAIN TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH BENDIX SR-7 SPRING BRAKE MODULATING VALVES. THE INTERNAL RUBBER CHECK VALVE MAY LEAK CAUSING A DELAY IN THE APPLICATION OF THE SPRING BRAKES TO PARK THE VEHICLE AFTER THE OPERATOR PULLS THE DASH VALVE BUTTON. Built 2006-09-19 to 2007-05-31. |
| 07V132000 | 2007-03-22. POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, THE AXLE HOUSINGS MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH STEEL THAT WAS OUT OF SPECIFICATION WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FATIGUE FAILURE OVER TIME. Built 2006-11-27 to 2007-02-28. |
| 2015211 | 2015-05-15. Engine. On certain vehicles equipped with Cummins Westport ISL-G engines, excessive engine crankcase pressure could cause the vent tube assembly elbow to detach from the breather. This could allow engine oil to come in contact with hot surfaces, increasing the risk of fire resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install clamps at both ends of the elbow of the breather tube assembly and reprogram the Electronic Control Module (ECM) to improve diagnostic capabilities. |

| 2008370 | 2008-10-09. Other. On certain vehicles, the extension pipes attached to the "Aftertreatment Regeneration Device" (ARD) may develop a hole, and possibly allow heat and flame to escape during a regeneration of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). This condition could result in a fire causing property damage. Correction: Dealers will affect repairs. |
| 2008001 | 2008-01-07. Brakes. Certain vehicles fail to comply with requirements of CMVSS 121 - Air Brake System. The air lines were incorrectly constructed with only four layers of extruded nylon material, instead of the specified five layers. Should the air lines develop a leak, while the vehicle is in motion, it could cause the air brake system to fail, which would engage the rear spring brakes, slowing the vehicle to a stop, and preventing it from being driven. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the air lines. |
| 2007415 | 2007-12-18. Steering. On certain trucks, an incorrectly manufactured steering gear sector shaft may cause the steering to "stick or bind". This could severely restrict the steering turning angle, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering gear assembly. |
| 2007090 | 2007-03-20. Other. On certain trucks, the axle housing may have been manufactured with steel that was out of specification (9.5mm thick instead of 11mm thick), which could result in a fatigue failure over time. If failure occurs, the axle may lock-up or the end of the axle could come off, which may result in a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the axles. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
