2017-09-07. Suspension. On certain vehicles, the front axle sway bar link may come loose and detach from the frame rail. If the sway bar link were to detach, it could become lodged between the drag link and the front shock absorber, potentially binding the steering system, which could affect steering control and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the upper sway bar link attachment for the presence of the hardened washer between the bushing and the nut and install the washer if not present.

2014-07-22. Electrical. On certain trucks equipped with Sure Power power distribution modules, excessive play in electrical connections may result in unexpected loss of exterior lighting, anti-lock braking system and/or windshield wipers, as well as engine shutdown. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners will be instructed to install nylon tie wraps to temporarily secure electrical connectors. Once repair parts become available, dealers will install connector securement devices.
2014-01-24. Electrical. On certain vehicles equipped with Sure Power battery equalizers and/or convertors, the equalizer and/or convertor could develop an internal short circuit, resulting in a risk of overheating, smoke and/or fire. This may result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Delaers will replace affected converters and/or equalizers.
2013-02-25. Other. Certain vehicles fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 102 – Transmission Control Functions. Specifically, the ignition interlock system was designed to allow the engine to start with the gear selector in any position, and to only engage the chosen gear once the service brake is applied and the gear selector is shifted into neutral position then moved from neutral into a forward or reverse drive position. This does not meet the requirements of the Standard which stipulates that the engine cannot be started if the transmission control is in a forward or reverse drive position. Correction: Dealers will install a neutral start harness that will prevent the engine from starting unless the transmission selector is in the neutral position.
2012-10-05. Lights And Instruments. Certain trucks fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 – Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. Specifically, the fog lamps can be activated with the high beam headlamps; the daytime running lamps are not deactivated when the headlamp control is switched to the ON position, and; the high beam headlamps can be activated while the daytime running lamps are illuminated. Correction: Dealers will install a jumper wiring harness between the chassis harness and the power distribution center.
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
