P1A25_ 2013-16 S2022-03-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram and Oxygen Sensor Voltage Inspection Voluntary Emission Service Campaign Dealer Announcement: Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emission Service Campaign to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) and inspect the oxygen (O2) sensor voltage on certain MY2013-2016 Nissan Sentra SULEV vehicles identified in Service Comm. If the voltage is OK, no repair is necessary. If the voltage check results are “No Go”, dealers will diagnose and repair per the electronic service manual (ESM), and remedy any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that may have been masked by a failure to detect the short circuit to ground condition. The current level software installed on the affected vehicles may not detect a rear oxygen (O2) sensor short to ground (SCG) condition. Undetected SCG may result in failure to pass emissions testing. What Dealers Should Do: 1.Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emission Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. P1A25. 2.Dealers are requested to remedy any affected vehicles in dealer pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3.Dealers should use NTB22-006 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4.Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.
NTB22-0072022-03-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2013-2016 ALTIMA AND SENTRA; REAR OXYGEN SENSOR VOLTAGE INSPECTION SERVICE INFORMATION Nissan is committed to providing the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction. Therefore, Nissan is extending the emission warranty on the Rear Oxygen Sensor in the case of a short-to-ground condition to 20 Years or 200,000 miles, whichever occurs first. All other warranty terms, limitations, and conditions remain unchanged. During the warranty extension period, customers are eligible for annual Rear Oxygen Sensor voltage checks, upon request, to determine if a Rear Oxygen Sensor short-toground condition exists. If a Rear Oxygen Sensor short-to-ground condition does exist, Nissan will inspect and repair or replace, as necessary, the sensor or wiring and inspect for the existence of specific Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for issues that may have been previously unidentified due to the short-to-ground condition. Only if one of the DTCs in Table A are first found after a short-to-ground repair, the corresponding issue(s) will also be corrected according to the service manual at no charge for parts and labor as part of this warranty extension.

VOLUNTARY EMISSION SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2013-2016 SENTRA; ECM REPROGRAM AND OXYGEN SENSOR VOLTAGE INSPECTION INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary emission service campaign, on certain specific model year 2013-2016 Sentra vehicles, to reprogram the ECM (if applicable), and then inspect the oxygen (O2) sensor voltage. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number P1A25 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourist) owners, and vehicles in a dealer’s inventory.

NTB150552021-05-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL. SERVICE INFORMATION After ECM reprogramming, the Calibration Verification Number (CVN) needs to be automatically calculated prior to State emissions testing (also known as Inspection Maintainence, I/M, or SMOG testing depending upon location). Allowing the vehicle to idle for 22 minutes will allow for faster CVN calculation. It is recommended that customers utilize this method if the vehicle needs to be tested for emissions soon after ECM reprogramming. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB150202021-05-10. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. IF YOU CONFIRM: - The engine has an over temp condition. - The radiator fan does not operate. - The 40A fusible link for the fan shroud and motor assembly (cooling fan or radiator fan) is open or has no continuity. NOTE: - The MIL may be ON with DTC P1217 (ENG OVER TEMP) stored in the ECM. - The customer may state the A/C does not produce cold air as defined in the Electronic Service Manual. ACTION: 1. Compare the vehicle?s current ECM part number to those listed in Table A (see page 6). 2. If the ECM part number matches one listed in Table A, reprogram the ECM. 3. Replace the 40A fusible link. 4. Replace the fan shroud and motor assembly (cooling fan/radiator fan). 5. Inspect the engine room harness, replace as necessary. 6. Verify cooling system operation and related engine condition. SERVICE INFORMATION Starting with 2010 Model Year, Nissan vehicles have been gradually incorporating a new type of DTC known as Permanent DTC or P-DTC. If a vehicle is equipped with P-DTCs, all emission related DTCs will also set a P-DTC if the MIL is turned ON. A listing of which DTCs that will also set a P-DTC is found in the DTC Index in the EC-Engine Control section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). If a DTC repair is performed and the DTC erased, a vehicle may fail an Emission Inspection and Maintenance test if the P-DTC is not also erased. See this bulletin for further detail.

Nissan is conducting a voluntary service campaign to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM), and if necessary, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) on certain specific 2013 Nissan Sentra vehicles at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. The reprogramming will prevent a condition in which the vehicle's engine may stop running under certain unique conditions at cold start.
