Service bulletins for the 2017 Nissan Rogue
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| P9328_P9343_P934 | 2020-01-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram California Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 104,221 specific Nissan vehicles identified in Service Comm and currently registered to owners in the state of California to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) in the event that a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) for P0448, P0101, P2008, or P0087 is recorded in the ECM. Due to calibration errors on the affected vehicles, the ECM may improperly store a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) even though the emissions on-board diagnostic system is functioning properly. As of July 1, 2019 the State of California has implemented a revised Inspection Maintenance (I/M) or “Smog Check” test program. Without the software update, the subject vehicles may not pass this Smog Check test in those areas of California where such testing is required under state law. This incident has no effect on the safety, performance, drivability, or fuel consumption of the applicable vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. • P9328 – Affected Model Year 2015 • P9343 – Affected Model Year 2016 • P9345 – Affected Model Year 2017 • P9347 – Affected Model Year 2018 • P9349 – Affected Model Year 2019 2. | White Paint Clas | 2019-11-08. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. White Paint Class Action Owner Notification Dealer Notification In October, owners of white Nissan Rogues produced between January 11, 2013 and April 23, 2013, will receive a notice from a settlement administrator informing them of the terms of a proposed class action settlement. The settlement, if approved by the presiding court, could extend the warranty on the paint for four years and provide a one-time full vehicle repaint (subject to a copay). Eligible owners can also obtain coverage for any reasonable and necessary rental car coverage arising from the repaint, or reimbursement of amounts previously incurred for a one-time repaint and any reasonable and necessary rental car services arising from the repaint. The settlement also provides for eligibility in Nissan’s Vehicle Purchase Program. To be clear, unless and until the proposed settlement is approved by the presiding court, there is no warranty extension or other remedy and you should proceed with paint-related claims in the ordinary course. The proposed settlement, and the associated potential warranty extension, include many terms and conditions. Rather than attempting to address questions about the proposed settlement terms from customers, Nissan recommends dealers refer customers to the website listed below. This will enable owners to receive information from appropriate sources and avoid providing incorrect and/or incomplete information to customers. The website is currently live and available to inquiring customers. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. No action is necessary at this time. Nissan will provide additional instructions once the proposed settlement is approved by the court. 2. If a customer contacts the dealer with a white paint concern and/or references this settlement notification, dealers should refer the customer to the third party administrator’s website for additional information. www.vehiclepaintsettlement.com |

| P9327 Rogue - Au | 2019-10-08. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE. Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) Voluntary Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is committed to the safety, security and satisfaction of our customers and their passengers. Nissan is upgrading an existing Customer Service Initiative to a Voluntary Service Campaign on certain Model Year 2017-18 Rogue (T32), Rogue Sport (J11), and Rogue Hybrid (T32H) vehicles to reprogram the Radar and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) components of the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system. Covered vehicles that were not updated under NPSB/18-443 will be reprogrammed with updated software to improve system functionality through reduced false positive AEB activation in certain driving environments. In rare instances and unique roadway environments such as certain types of railroad crossings and metal overpasses, the AEB system in some vehicles may activate braking when it is not needed. The driver can always override the AEB system by pressing the accelerator. Nissan previously invited customers that had experienced an issue with their AEB system to come in for updated software before their Limited Vehicle Warranty expired. Now, Nissan is encouraging owners to have this important software update performed without regard to any issues or warranty status. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History - Open Campaign I.D. P9327. 2. Dealers should reprogram the Radar and ADAS software on any affected vehicles in retailer new or pre-owned inventory to help ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use NTB19-064 to inspect and, if necessary, remedy any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle. |
