P42132017-10-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Juke Timing Chain Voluntary Service Campaign ? Expiration Notice ***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan launched this Voluntary Service Campaign on April 25, 2014 on certain 2011-2013 Nissan Juke vehicles to offer customers the opportunity to replace the timing chain, chain guides, and crank sprocket at no charge to the customer for parts and labor. Nissan has made multiple attempts to notify customers concerning this service campaign and informed them that the campaign will end September 28. Nissan wants to inform dealers to open repair orders on or before September 28, 2017 in order to have timing chain replacement covered by this service campaign. Vehicles presented for repair after this date will not be covered by this service campaign and any repair will be performed at customer expense if the vehicle?s warranty has expired. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Service Comm will deactivate P4213 on any unrepaired VINs on September 29, 2017. - Repair orders must be opened on or before September 28, 2017 2. Dealers should submit any open claims for the timing chain replacement under this campaign by October 6, 2017. Claims submitted after this date will be rejected.

NISSAN; DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION FOR ABS DTC C1130 SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing for DTC C1130 (ENGINE SIGNAL): ECM related DTCs (P-codes) must be diagnosed, repaired, and DTCs erased first. - DTC C1130 is an ABS DTC that indicates an output signal of the ECM is not recognized. - Absent or incorrect ECM signals, that are indicated by corresponding P-codes, may trigger C1130 in the ABS control unit. - Some vehicle features that can be affected by absent or incorrect ECM signals are: - Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) - Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) - VDC/ABS/TCS

BLUETOOTH, USB, AND AUX FUNCTION DIAGNOSTIC TOOL SERVICE INFORMATION The Enhanced Multi-Media Interface Tester (EMMIT) J-51922 is a new special tool that tests the functionality of the following features: Bluetooth o Pairing/Connecting o Phonebook Access Profile o Hands Free Profile (for calls) o Bluetooth Audio test o Message Access Profile (for text messages, if so equipped) USB o Tests USB music playback o Tests USB music browsing capability AUX o Tests AUX Jack playback Use EMMIT to diagnose symptoms related to Bluetooth, USB, and AUX. If EMMIT passes diagnostic tests, the symptom is caused by the customer?s phone and not caused by the AV control unit. DO NOT replace the AV control unit. NOTE: If an AV control unit is replaced for multi-media issues that can be tested with EMMIT, a printed copy of the EMMIT diagnostic results must be included with the returned unit. See page 2 for more information about the EMMIT tool.
