Recalls that may apply to the 2009 Nissan Cube

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

26V2300002026-04-09. AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2009-2010 Cube vehicles. The driver’s air bag inflator may rupture or detach from the steering wheel during air bag deployment. Built from 2008-10-10.
10V3300002010-07-22. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE. NISSAN IS RECALLING MODEL YEAR 2009-2010 NISSAN CUBE VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JANUARY 30, 2009 THROUGH JULY 30, 2010. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY." WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ROTATED FOLLOWING A REAR MOVING BARRIER CRASH TEST AS REQUIRED, THE AMOUNT OF FUEL LEAKAGE EXCEEDED THE ALLOWABLE LIMITS. Built 2009-01-30 to 2010-07-30.
09V3930002009-10-05. TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS. NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 VEHICLES ORIGINALLY SOLD IN OR CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN THE STATES OF CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, IOWA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, MASSACHUSETTS, MAINE, MARYLAND, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT, WASHINGTON D.C., WEST VIRGINIA AND WISCONSIN. THE MATERIAL IN THE NUT USED TO SECURE THE SENSOR-TRANSMITTER OF THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) MAY CORRODE AND POTENTIALLY CRACK IN AREAS WITH HEAVY CONCENTRATIONS OF ROAD SALT. IF THIS OCCURS, THE NUT MAY COME OUT OF THE SENSOR-TRANSMITTER AND THE TPMS LAMP WILL ILLUMINATE. Built 2009-02-10 to 2009-07-04.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20261842026-04-09. Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver-front airbag inflator may not have been properly welded. As a result, the airbag module could separate from the steering wheel when it deploys in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Action: Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver-front airbag inflator.
20102472010-07-22. Fuel System. Certain vehicles may not meet the requirements of the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 301 - Fuel System Integrity. After a rear impact crash test during a compliance testing program, the post crash fuel spillage exceeded the limit specified by the standard. Should fuel leakage occur and be in close proximity to an ignition source it could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a protector to the gasoline recirculation tube at the filler neck connection.
20102352010-07-16. Airbag. On certain vehicles, the passenger-side curtain airbag may have been incorrectly positioned during vehicle assembly. As a result, in certain types of crashes where side curtain airbag deployment is expected, a portion of the bag may be restricted from fully deploying. The side curtain airbag will still deploy in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding applicable safety standards. Correction: Dealers will replace the side curtain airbag. This action is a Customer Satisfaction Campaign and is not being conducted as per the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
20092832009-10-02. Other. On certain vehicles, material in the nut used to secure the sensor-transmitter of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may corrode and crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt. If this occurs, the nut may come out of the TPMS sensor-transmitter causing a rapid loss of tire air pressure. This could adversely affect vehicle control and cause a crash resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the TPMS nut with a revised version.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
