SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR INFOTAINMENT ISSUES SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing an infotainment issue or after replacement of the AV Control Unit, it is necessary to verify the current software version of the AV Control Unit to determine if a software version update is required. Use the vehicle tables in this bulletin to determine the current software version, if the AV Control Unit requires a software version update, and which procedure to use to update the AV Control Unit. The software updates in this bulletin are to address stability improvements and “bug” fixes. IMPORTANT: If the customer is experiencing a software related concern, refer to NTB21-038 to verify if the customer concern is a hardware or software related issue. If the concern is a software related issue, review the information in this bulletin to update the AV Control Unit as needed.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. 2019-2021 ALTIMA AND 2021 ROGUE; AC INOPERATIVE WITH DTC B20C8-14 STORED IF YOU CONFIRM The AC compressor is not engaging when the AC is in the ON position as indicated by the yellow illumination on the AC button, And DTC B20C8-14 ECV (ELECTRICAL CONTROL VALVE) is stored in the IPDM. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. PREVENT FRONT AXLE THREAD DAMAGE DURING NUT REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION If an Applied Vehicle needs to have a front axle nut removed, for any reason, the staking of the nut into the axle keyway must first be removed. The essential tool (part number # J-52982, Figure 1) required to remove the nut staking, is called out as a “Cape Chisel” in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle (see Figure 2 on page 2). • The Cape Chisel arrived at dealers in December of 2020. • Damaged threads, due to improper removal of the stake placed in the nut, will not be covered by warranty. For information on using the Cape Chisel, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM): Section TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT > LH/RH.

NTB20-0832020-12-09. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2019-2020 ALTIMA; DTC P2015 OR P2004 STORED DURING COLD WEATHER IF YOU CONFIRM The customer stated that the MIL was on after starting the engine in cold weather, below 0°F. And DTC P2015 (INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL VALVE POSITION SENSOR) and/or DTC P2004 (INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL VALVE) are stored in the ECM. DTC status is either current or past. And No problem is found after performing the DTC diagnosis per the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). ACTION Replace the intake manifold.

SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR INFOTAINMENT ISSUES SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing an infotainment issue, always confirm that the latest software is installed in the AV control unit before starting the diagnosis. The software update in the following service procedure is to address the items below: • Stability improvements and “bug” fixes. • Android Auto skips while playing music. Refer to steps 1 - 4 to confirm that this bulletin applies. HINT: The update-software only needs to be downloaded once and then can then be used on multiple vehicles until other infotainment software is loaded onto the USB drive to overwrite the original data.

ALTIMA WITH PR25DD ENGINE; DTC P0015 STORED IF YOU CONFIRM DTC P0015 (B camshaft position B1) is stored NOTE: The MIL may or may not be ON. And Diagnosis has determined the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve is the cause. ACTION Replace the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve. NOTE: The exploded views in the 2019 and 2020 Altima ESM may incorrectly label the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve and the exhaust valve timing intermediate lock control solenoid valve. The exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve is positioned below the exhaust valve timing intermediate lock control solenoid valve on the front cover.
NTB10-029f2020-10-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. NISSAN; VIBRATION AND/OR NOISE WHEN MAKING LOW SPEED TURNS IF YOU CONFIRM There is a vibration or judder feeling from the rear of the vehicle during the following conditions: • When making turns • On dry roads • At low speeds (under 40 MPH) And • The above vibration does not occur if the Electric Controlled Coupling is electrically disconnected. NOTE: In some cases, electrically disconnecting the Electric Controlled Coupling may not eliminate the vibration as described above. In these cases, further confirm the incident by removing the rear propeller shaft and retest. If the vibration does not occur with the rear propeller shaft removed, the incident is confirmed. IMPORTANT: Tire size, brand or tread pattern mismatches can cause similar symptoms. To avoid tire related mismatch vibration, it is recommended that when tires need to be replaced, all tires are replaced at the same time with tires of the proper size, same brand and pattern. See ACTION on page 2.
