ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. 2016-2018 NISSAN CONNECT NAVIGATION SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATE TO RESOLVE SEVERAL ISSUES This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with navigation system. IF YOU CONFIRM One or more of the following is occurring: - The navigation unit intermittently reboots: - At random or while listening to SXM or on a Bluetooth hands-free phone call. - Loud booming noise from speakers while on a Bluetooth hands-free call. - Navigation unit screen illumination does not change at night as designed. - AM/FM signal strength issues. - A status message ?Voice Recognition is initializing, please wait? is displayed when pressing the voice recognition button 2-3 minutes after the ignition is first turned ON. NOTE: If the message is displayed within the first 2-3 minutes this is normal. The voice recognition is loading phonebook contacts into its system. AND - The Software version has been confirmed as ?needs update? (refer to page 4). ACTION - Perform the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 3 and reprogram the Navigation system with USB memory stick shown below.

NTB18-0292018-04-16. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. 2013-2018 ALTIMA; AFTERMARKET HEADLIGHTS SERVICE INFORMATION If a headlight housing assembly on an applied vehicle needs to be replaced for any reason, note the following: - Only Original Equipment (O.E.) components are warrantable though Nissan. - Aftermarket components are not warrantable through Nissan. - Confirm that it is a genuine Nissan part before submitting a Warranty Claim. - Genuine Nissan headlight housings, on an applied vehicle, will have "Nissan" and "NAL" markings on the housing. - See examples of an O.E. headlight housing assembly (Figure 1 on page 2) and aftermarket headlight housing assembly (Figure 2 on page 3). NOTE: The Nissan New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover aftermarket components. Refer to the Nissan Assurance Products Resource Manual (APRM) for guidelines on warranty coverage. The vehicle Owner's Manual contains the complete details regarding the limited warranty.

SERVICE INFORMATION Diagnostic information in the Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) for the following DTCs may be missing or incorrect: -B2EF0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD) -B130C ? TCU (Telematics Control Unit) PAIRING ERROR If one of these DTCs is stored, follow the steps listed below along with the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to compete the required repairs. DTC B2FE0 ? INTERNAL BATTERY (CIRC VOLT BELOW THRESHOLD): 1. Start the engine and let it idle for 30 minutes (to allow charging of the TCU internal battery). -2018 LEAF only: Put the vehicle in Ready to Drive mode (depress the brake pedal and depress the power [?ignition?] switch) for 30 minutes. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. DTC B130C: 1. Collect all keys, and then re-register them to the vehicle. 2. Verify the DTC can be erased. 3. If the DTC will not erase, replace the TCU. NOTE: The related Electronic Service Manuals (ESM) will be updated at a later date. CLAIMS INFORMATION Refer to the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and submit a claim for the repairs performed.
