Included in this kit is a set of electrically insulated gloves, MB992648-01. While servicing an i-MiEV, these gloves are essential in protectling a Technician from a potentially fatal electric shock. We would like to reiterate the importance of properly maintaining these gloves and adhering to the following guidelines:

TSB-15-54-0012017-05-11. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. THIS TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN, PROVIDED TO DEALERS, INSTRUCTS THE DEALER TO UPDATE THE HFM SOFTWARE THAT ALLOWS VOICE RECOGNITION TO COMPLETE BEFORE CONNECTION TO THE PHONE BEGINS, TO RECTIFY THE CONDITION WHERE THE HFM ATTEMPTS A BLUETOOTH CONNECTION WITH A MOBILE PHONE WHILE VOICE RECOGNITION IS BOOTING AT THE SAME TIME. IF THE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION COMPLETES BEFORE VOICE RECOGNITION COMPLETES, VOICE RECOGNITION CANNOT BE USED.
