Included in this kit is a set of electrically insulated gloves, MB992648-01. While servicing an i-MiEV, these gloves are essential in protectling a Technician from a potentially fatal electric shock. We would like to reiterate the importance of properly maintaining these gloves and adhering to the following guidelines:

(SCB) Motor Control Unit Service Campaign - Due to a manufacturing error, the electrical resistance of the insulated base inside the Motor Control Unit (MCU) MAY DECREASE AND FLEAD TO UNSTABLE VOLTAGE WITHIN THE CIRCUIT. This condition can result in reduced electric motor power (turtle mode) and in the worst case, prevent the vehicle from befing frestarted or the Main Drive lithium-ion battery from being recharged.
TIN-21-00-0022021-03-06. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This Technical Information Notice was sent to dealers notifying them certified EV dealers must have a set of electrically insulated gloves available for use while servicing an i-MiEV or Outlander PHEV to assist in protecting a Technician from a potentially fatal electric shock.
TSB-20-54-0032020-05-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This TSB updates the Chassis Electrical section of the affected Service Manuals to add procedures to On Board Charger/DC-DC Converter diagnosis in 54D, Electric Motor Unit and Traction Battery section. These procedures have been added because a new service part is available for the on board charger/DC-DC converter.

TSB-13-54-0012020-03-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. This TSB updates the Electric Motor and Battery Trouble Symptom Chart and adds Inspection Procedure 2: Vehicle Vibration, to the service manual.
SC-13-0012020-02-11. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The current internal software programming for the EV-ECU is incompatible with the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment charger produced by Clipper Creek. Use of a Clipper Creek charger could potentially damage the internal components within the i-MiEV electrical system. If this damage occurs, it could potentially affect the i-MiEV's ability to start. This bulletin describes the procedures necessary to update the software programming of the EV-ECU to ensure compatibility between an i-MiEV and the Clipper Creek EVSE.

TIN-12-00-0022020-01-27. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The attached letter is being sent to all 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV owners to provide recommendations for maximizing the driving range of their electric vehicle when operated in colder temperatures.
TSB-12-54-0162020-01-27. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Owners of some affected vehicles may report they can not set the vehicle to "READY" mode in extreme cold weather (approximately -25 C, -13 F). This may be due to a frozen EV control relay. This TSB advises dealers that an improved EV control relay is available to correct this condition, and provides replacement instructions.
