09-024-17-33502017-10-21. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some vehicles (without power seats) may exhibit a driver seat that gradually moves down by itself. This concern may be caused when a load, which is applied to the seat during braking, exceeds a certain level that could impact the retaining mechanism of the seat lifter causing the seat to gradually move downward. To eliminate this concern, the play in the lift mechanism gears has been reduced.

Some vehicles may exhibit one of the following concerns: Sometimes the shifter may jump out of 3rd gear over a road bump when accelerating after deceleration at 25-40 mph (40-65 km/h) Hard to shift into 3rd, 4th, 5th, and/or 6th gear Shift lever vibrates when driving in 3rd or 4th gear. Upper front strut bearing (A) damage. (CX-5 and Mazda6)? Squeak type noise between the front strut bearing and coil spring. (CX-3, CX-5 and Mazda6)? The bump stopper (C) may be contacting the strut bearing when the front shock absorber is compressed, causing a popping noise. (Mazda6 only)? In some cases, the area of oil residue extends down to around the joint portion (B) between the engine front cover and the oil pan. This may be caused by oil escaping from a fine clearance created at the sealant applied to joint (A) between the cylinder block (B) and head (C) when the engine was pressurized during leak testing on the engine assembly line.
