Service bulletins for the 2025 Mazda Mazda3

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

The protective films are attached on new vehicles when shipped from the factory in order to avoid being scratched during transportation and while in dealer stock. NOTE: Remove the protective films after cleaning the vehicle. • If any adhesive residue remains on the surface of the door garnish, attach the adhesive side of the protective film on the area again, and then peel it off to remove the residue. • Refer to the image below for the location of the protective films (4 sheets of films in each side).
09-045-252026-01-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may experience that the fuel lid and charge lid do not lock or unlock during door lock/unlock operation. This is caused by: Improper dimensional accuracy of the lid actuator lock mechanism Incomplete control logic in the R-ESU software To eliminate this concern: The mold design of the lid actuator was modified. The control software of the R-ESU was revised.
09-043-252025-12-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience a clicking noise when opening and/or closing the front door due to a broken front door checker plate.
09-042-252025-12-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may experience that after the doors are locked and the Fuel Door Lock Delay with MAZDA CONNECT has passed (default setting is 90 seconds), the fuel-filler lid does not lock, but can be opened when pressed. NOTE: The fuel-filler lid does not lock immediately after the doors are locked, but after the time set in the Fuel Door Lock Delay (0, 30, 60, 90, and 120 seconds). Although the root cause has not been identified, the vehicle should be repaired by adjusting the fuel-filler lid opener cable position when there is a customer complaint.
SA-011-25a2025-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door (AKA, fuel filler door, fuel lid, and fuel-filler lid) was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-007/25 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2025 Mazda3 and 2020-2025 CX-30 are present.
09-034-25a2025-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may notice water in the trunk after a car wash or heavy rain. This may be caused by insufficient sealing performance of the trunk lid weatherstrip. Due to improper installation of weatherstrips, the lip of the weatherstrip may lean toward the inside of the trunk, resulting in insufficient sealing performance. To eliminate this concern, the length of the trunk lid weatherstrip has been extended 14 mm {0.5 in.}.
SA-039/252025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. If a structure's windows create enough of a curve, the concave glass can focus the sun's rays onto a small area and acting like magnifiying glass direct the sunbeams into a hot pinpoint of light. This magnifcation of the sun's rays can cause damage to vehicle trim (see examples). Additional information and exemplar images regarding this phenomenon can be found by performing a google search.
09-034-252025-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY.
SA-011-252025-03-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-007/25 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2025 Mazda3 and 2020-2025 CX-30 are present.
09-006-252025-02-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may notice the front door window(s) do not open. This may be caused by the lower window cable corrosion and damage. To eliminate this concern, the following improvements have been made: The shape of the power window regulator pulley has been modified to prevent cable damage. The shape of the carrier plate has been modified to prevent the cable from being exposed to water/moisture.
09-007-252025-02-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit a deformed fuel-filler lid panel (1) attached to the fuel-filler lid box, resulting in a poor appearance. This concern is caused by the lid box not having enough water drainage capability which leads to the accumulation of water inside it. The water then freezes in cold weather and expands or the inner side of the lid panel absorbs the water and swells from long exposure, deforming the lid panel. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the fuel-filler lid box has been modified to have better drainage capability and a modified fuel-filler lid panel service part has been established for less water absorbance.
09-046-242024-11-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience stains appearing on the hood, roof and/or trunk of the vehicle. This concern is most likely to be found in a cold weather areas just after the RAPGARD is removed at PDI. This may be caused by moisture which has been trapped and condensed between the paint and the RAPGARD. These types of stains can be removed with a heat gun or an infrared drier. If you encounter this concern during PDI, use a heat gun or an infrared drier to apply heat to the affected area to remove the stain(s).
SA-059-242024-09-04. Service bulletin. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-019/21 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2021 Mazda3 and 2020-2021 CX-30 are present.
SA-058-242024-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection.
SA-056-242024-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Interior parts made of resin have antistatic coating to prevent dust from sticking on the surfaces, and depending on the conditions of use, the antistatic components may crystallize slightly, giving an appearance of white stains on the surface. To remove the stains, wipe the stained surface with a towel soaked with water mixed with a small portion of a neutral detergent. If the white stains reappear again, simply wipe them again in the same way.
SA-050-242024-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that their liftgate does not open. This can mean a range of things, from the liftgate not unlatching to the power liftgate (PLG) not opening automatically. If you confirm that the customer's concern is that the liftgate does not unlatch correctly, follow the repair information below.
SA-036-242024-06-04. Other. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may complain about color discrepancies (brightness differences) of the image displayed on the screen when using the 360°view monitor. As this phenomenon is not a system failure, do not make any repairs or replace any parts. Explain the cause of this occurrence to the customer as follows: The 360°view monitor is a system that provides a complete picture of the vehicle surroundings by combining the pictures captured by 4 separate cameras. These cameras are installed in the front, rear, right and left sides of the vehicle. Each camera has a color adjustment function (white balance) that operates independently from each other, which can result in color discrepancy when the combined picture is displayed on the screen. This is especially true when one of the cameras captures more green objects than the remaining cameras.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
