Service bulletins for the 2025 Mazda CX-90

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

The center display may turn black under certain conditions. However, the camera images on the center display are not affected, and the back camera is usable.
09-039-252025-11-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may experience that the right subwoofer audio sound pauses intermittently at high volume level. This is caused by improper control software of the audio amplifier (Bose® audio system). The audio amplifier’s power IC may sometimes mistakenly detect an over-temperature condition and shut down operation to prevent damage to the IC. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the audio amplifier has been modified.
09-037-252025-11-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may exhibit a creaking noise from the area around the Active Driving Display on the dash pad while driving. This may be caused by the hole cover of the Active Driving Display and the internal components of the dash pad interfering with each other.
SA-043-252025-10-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may have one of the following DTCs stored in memory along with a system status notice on the Multi-information display OR display a system status notice with no DTC: C1001:92 - Forward sensing camera (FSC) poor field of view [Gen 6 vehicles] B14F0:92 - General temporary failure in forward sensing camera (FSC) [Gen 7 vehicles built on or before March 2, 2019] No DTC - Warning Message only [Gen 7 vehicles built after March 2, 2019] DTC C1001:92 or B14F0:92 set as a past record for low visibility of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern.
SA-042-252025-10-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Interior parts made of resin have antistatic coating to prevent dust from sticking on the surfaces, and depending on the conditions of use, the antistatic components may crystallize slightly, giving an appearance of white stains on the surface.
SA-017-25c2025-10-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Mazda Connected Services - Frequently Asked Questions
SA-013-25a2025-10-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Regarding previous Service Alert "Fuel Gauge Inaccurate / Distance To Empty (DTE) Erratic / Engine No Start" issue. This SA has been replaced by 7825I - SAFETY AND EMISSIONS RECALL - 2024-2025 CX-90 AND 2025 CX-70 - VEHICLE MAY STALL DUE TO INCORRECT FUEL LEVEL.
09-022-25b2025-10-03. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some vehicles may exhibit a crack in the door side of the front seat cushion trim. This may be caused by the door-side surface of the cushion trim being folded and compressed when exiting the vehicle and by the surface of the cushion bolster being rubbed and stretched when entering the vehicle. Repeated occurrences of these conditions may result in a crack forming in the surface of the seat cushion trim. To eliminate this concern, the material of the door-side surface of the front seat cushion trim has been modified to improve tear strength and scratch resistance.
09-015-25a2025-10-03. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some customers may complain about a rattle or vibration noise coming from front map light surroundings when driving on a rough road. This may be caused by the bracket for the map light. Due to heat or vibrations, the fastener fixing the front map light to the bracket may deform, making the joint loose. In such case, when the vehicle bounces, the bracket may oscillate and produce a rattling noise. To eliminate that concern, non-woven fabric will be attached to the headliner.
07-006-252025-10-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that the heater does not work properly and that a warning about a hybrid abnormality appears on the Instrument Cluster. Upon inspection, the vehicle may have DTC P0AA6:00 (High voltage insulation malfunction: Decrease in vehicle insulation resistance) stored in memory. This is caused by an inappropriate casting method of the water heater during the manufacturing process. To eliminate this concern, the casting method for the aluminum heat sink has been modified from low-pressure to high pressure casting and a seal has been added to the sheath pipe opening in the circuit board compartment.
SA-040-252025-09-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. A New Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF-A7) is being used for some 2023-2026 models. ATF-A7 is an extremely low viscosity formulation with low friction to achieve best-in-class fuel economy and driving performance. For easy identification, ATF-A7 is colored Red and ATF-FZ is colored Blue. There is NO interchangeability between ATF-A7 and ATF-FZ. For CX-30, Mazda3, and CX-5, some 2.5L and all 2.5T engines still use ATF-FZ. Verify the type of ATF according to what is in MGSS (TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE TECHNICAL DATA) or what is marked on the dipstick (see below).
SA-039/252025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. If a structure's windows create enough of a curve, the concave glass can focus the sun's rays onto a small area and acting like magnifiying glass direct the sunbeams into a hot pinpoint of light. This magnifcation of the sun's rays can cause damage to vehicle trim (see examples). Additional information and exemplar images regarding this phenomenon can be found by performing a google search.
SA-038-252025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. When replacing the MAZDA CONNECT remote tuner (RT) with a replacement tuner for any reason, a call must be made to inform SiriusXM of the existing Radio ID and the new/replacement SAT Radio ID as soon as possible to ensure the customer leaves the dealership with an active SAT radio.
SA-023-25b2025-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some customers may complain about any of the following: 1. Infotainment Center Display does not provide the Authorization Code (OTP) during the MyMazda App Connected Vehicle enrollment. 2. Remote function(s) inoperative. Engine Start / Stop Door Lock / Unlock Lights ON / OFF Climate Control 3. MAZDA CONNECT connected vehicle reception strength icon shows "X" or " ".

ONP10 Dlr Ltr2025-09-04. Service campaign. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Subject: Puerto Rico specification vehicles do not have Connected Vehicle Services (CV) Owner Notification Program ONP10 – 2025MY Mazda CX-5, Mazda3, CX-70, CX-90 Dear Mazda Dealer Colleagues, Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct an Owner Notification Program (ONP) on certain 2025 Mazda Corporate and Retail Fleet vehicles. There are 199 vehicles in this campaign and no Mazda Retail vehicles in dealer stock or sold new, used or CPO are affected. Subject VIN and Production date ranges: Model and Quantity affected Subject VIN range Various non-sequential VIN’s for these models * Only specific vehicles with ONP10 listed in Warranty Vehicle Inquiry are affected Concern Outline: 199 Puerto Rico specification vehicles were sold and registered in the United States as both Corporate vehicles (75) and Rental Fleet vehicles (124). These vehicles do not have Connected Vehicle Services (CV) available, which also means these vehicles cannot be connected to the MyMazda App to use various features like remote start.
09-033-252025-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit the following behavior: If the power liftgate (PLG) encounters an obstruction during opening or closing, the jam-safe function is designed to stop the liftgate and reverse it slightly. Normally, pressing the liftgate button (dash, liftgate, or remote) after this happens should cause the liftgate to continue in the reverse direction. Due to a software issue, if the liftgate button is pressed after the jam-safe function is activated, the liftgate may instead continue moving in the direction of the obstruction. This occurs randomly and cannot be predicted. To correct this concern, the control software of the power liftgate control module has been modified to ensure the liftgate always continues in the reverse direction when the opener switch is operated immediately after the jam-safe function is activated.
09-031-252025-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. When the rear door is opened, the dust may be blown up and enter the cabin, adhering to the seats and the floor. This is caused by a large gap at the lower part of the boundary between the rear door and the front door, and air containing dust and/or sand is sucked up into the gap, accumulating at the lower edge of the rear door garnish while driving. To eliminate this concern, a mass production change is under study.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
