Service bulletins for the 2013 Mazda CX-5

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

MT-012-182019-03-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; STEERING. If a vehicle has body vibration or steering wheel shimmy while driving and the root cause is determined to be tire balance, re-balance the tires using a Hunter GSP9700 or equivalent balance machine. If your dealer does not have a GSP9700 or equivalent balance machine, sublet the vehicle out for repair. To find the location of a GSP9700 near your dealer, visit Hunter?s web site at www.gsp9700.com and click on ?Locate a GSP9700 Road Force Balancer.?
09-038-18-35272018-11-13. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Some vehicles may experience a rattle noise from the front door glass when driving with the window open approx. 1/2 to 4 inches (1 - 10 cm). The rattle noise may be caused by insufficient holding force of the glass run channel. To increase the holding force, the shape of glass run channel has been changed and non-woven pads have been attached to the glass run channel.

Some vehicles may experience one or more of the following symptoms in connection with a malfunction related to the C-15 connector. The driver side power window does not operate. The door does not open when using the advanced keyless system. The warning lamp stays ON even after the ignition switch is turned OFF. DTC B10E7:17 (START STOP UNIT, IG1 Relay Circuit Malfunction) and DTCs related to communication errors may be stored in PCM memory. Engine no start due to battery discharge. The symptoms listed above may be caused by corrosion of the C-15 connector terminals due to water intrusion through the front door. In low ambient temperatures, the door harness hardens. If the door is fully opened, it may create a gap between the door and the door harness grommet, which may allow water to enter through the gap.
02-015-18-34992018-10-09. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:REAR:SPRINGS:COIL SPRINGS; STRUCTURE. Some vehicles may exhibit a knocking noise from the rear coil spring and/or the vehicle body sits lower in the rear. These symptoms may be caused by a broken rear coil spring at its lower side. This is caused by corrosion from dust between the rear coil spring and the spring sheet, resulting in a broken rear coil spring. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the rear coil spring has been modified.
09-030-18-34842018-09-10. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Some customers may complain that the rear door seaming welt (1) comes off when stepping in and/or out of the vehicle. This is caused by the gripping force of the seaming welt being insufficient for frequent usage of the rear seat (vehicle used for ride sharing). No mass production change is planned.
SA-024-182018-07-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD. Some customers may complain of a lack of power under heavy load without any warning lights or DTCs. This concern may be due to a loose or detached hood weatherstrip, which can cause a blockage or restriction in the air intake system.
