Service bulletins for the 2020 Mazda CX-30
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 09-017-20-3701 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience that the door locks may not operate using the touch sensor on the outer door handle while parked in a parking space surrounded by concrete walls, but will operate when using the remote transmitter. This concern may be caused by refraction and/or diffraction of the signal used for the advanced keyless entry system by the steel reinforcement bars in the concrete walls. As a result, the signal will resemble a theft attempt (known as a Relay Attack) and the anti-theft function of the advanced keyless entry system will prohibit door lock operation. To eliminate this concern, the LF control unit software has been modified to reduce the improper detection of the theft attempt. |
| 09-016-20-3693 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may find that they cannot lock their vehicle when using the touch sensor (shown below) on the front door handle, however, they can unlock the vehicle. This concern may occur after the vehicle has been recently washed and water has accumulated around the touch sensor, resulting in temporarily lowering the sensitivity of the capacitor sensor. To eliminate this concern, the shape and material of the rubber sheet attached to the touch sensor has been improved. |

Drive Safely" or "Safety and Driver Support Systems Temporarily Disabled" warning messages • DTC B14F9:00 stored in memory DTC B14F9:00 cannot be found on MGSS, therefore repair cannot be performed. DTC_B14F9:00 is falsely stored instead of DTC B14F0:4B. DTC_B14F0:4B [VCM] (Forward sensing camera (FSC) internal temperature abnormality) - FSC detects temperature higher than operation range. |

| 09-003-20-3671 | 2020-01-23. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. In accordance with Federal regulations, follow the procedure listed below when replacing a speedometer. NOTE: Tampering with a motor vehicle odometer is strictly prohibited by Federal, and State laws. It is the dealer’s responsibility to comply with Federal, State, and local laws concerning odometer and related documentation requirements when providing a repair or replacement. • Mazda vehicles are manufactured with tamper-proof speedometers. • When a speedometer is replaced, the new speedometer will read zero (0) miles. • This procedure is extremely important to accurately represent actual vehicle mileage. • Prior to speedometer removal, complete the information required on the “Speedometer Replacement Label”. Labels can only be ordered through Mazda eStore. • In an effort to achieve a higher level of Customer Experience and retain the value of Mazda’s vehicles, MNAO Warranty Operations is allowing all Mazda dealers to utilize a third party, SPECMO Enterprises, Inc., for Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) odometer setting service. With the use of SPECMO’s services, it is possible that the odometer will be set between 10 to 31 miles over the odometer mileage at the time of replacement for both warranty and customer pay repairs. Please make sure that the customer is aware that there may be a slight variance to the odometer, in which case the customer may have to accept the slightly higher mileage. Since odometer setting service is not part of the warranty repair, it is not warrantable nor required, but optional. However, Mazda Warranty policy provides after- warranty assistance (AWA) or DSA that can be utilized to cover this service expense. |
