Service bulletins for the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 49756 | 2021-05-03. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE. Some 2018-2021 vehicles supported by FDRS may not list a software update for a module under the SW Updates tab although an SSM or TSB is published for a software update. This may be due to the module already being at the latest software level. A later software level may have been programmed at the assembly plant, during a previous dealer visit or by an over the air (OTA) update for vehicles that have automatic updates enabled in the SYNC system settings. To review a vehicle's OTA update history, visit the Connected Vehicle > OTA Dashboard tab in OASIS. Information about the OTA Dashboard can be found on FMCDealer.com when performing a search on OTA History Job Aid. |

| SSM 49739 | 2021-05-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2021 Edge/Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a VIN mismatch condition in both side obstacle detection control modules (SODL/SODR) during Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) vehicle identification. This may be due to an incorrect As-Built configuration. Do not attempt to replace the SODL and/or SODR modules. This condition does not affect vehicle function. Engineering is currently working on a solution. Monitor OASIS for updates. |
| SSM 49697 | 2021-03-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2020-2021 Edge/Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a Trailer Disconnected message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to the As-Built configuration in the trailer control module (TRM). To correct the condition, update the As-Built data of the TRM. For claiming, use causal part 19H332 and applicable labor times found in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |

Some 2019-2021 Edge/Nautilus, 2020-2021 Escape/Corsair, 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with all wheel drive (AWD) may exhibit chatter/shudder during low speed turning events due to fluid contamination. Drain and refill the rear drive unit (RDU), refer to Workshop Manual Section (WSM) 205-02. Drive for 8 km (5 miles) in stop and go conditions with right and left turns and re-evaluate. If the issue is still present, continue with WSM diagnostics. For claiming, use base (4000) causal part. |

Refer to the Owner's Manual > Maintenance > Engine oil check section. When checking the engine oil level after shutting off the engine wait at least 15 minutes prior to checking in order to allow the oil to drain back to the oil pan. The engine oil level can be checked immediately if the engine has not been started. When changing the engine oil the engine needs to be at normal operating temperature and the oil filter removed before draining the oil. Allow the oil pan to drain completely for up to 5 minutes.
