Service bulletins for the 2025 Lincoln Aviator

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. 2025-2026 Explorer/Aviator vehicles are no longer equipped with light emitting diode (LED) confirmation on the vehicles key fob indicating that the vehicle has remote started (or not remote started). Factory key fobs with remote start no longer contain an LED feedback indicator. Do not replace the key fob for this condition. This is a normal operating characteristic and no service action is necessary.
SSM 547482026-04-21. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025 Aviator vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start/discharged battery condition due to an intermittent 12V battery drain that occurs only when ambient outdoor temperature is greater than 90°F (32°C). This may be due to the camera module - rear (CMR) keeping the flexible data rate controller area network 3 (FD-CAN3) awake. To correct this condition, download and run the "CMR - Driver Status Monitor Camera Module ÝCMR¨ Software Update" application using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 3G592 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4.

This may be due to the DSP. To determine if the DSP is the root cause, remove the DSP fuse from the battery junction box (BCMB fuse F40). Inspect the fuse for an open and make sure the fuse has proper blade contact. After one minute, reinstall the good fuse. If the concern is still present or a fuse concern is found, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00 for normal diagnostics. If communication has been re-established with the DSP, install a new DSP ordered from Ford Component Sales using the On-Line 1878 form to correct this condition.
