Service bulletins for the 2020 Lincoln Aviator
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 50967 | 2022-08-02. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Some 2020-2022 Aviator vehicles may exhibit a door ajar or door fault warning message present in the message center with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B1175:19, B1176:19, B11C0:19 and/or B11C1:19 present in door latch control module E (DCME), door latch control module F (DCMF), door latch control module G (DCMG) and/or door latch control module H (DCMH). This may be due to low battery voltage and DTC thresholds being too low and not a fault in the door latch assembly. To correct the condition, reprogram and re-configure the the affected module using the latest level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming use causal part 54264A27 and applicable labor times found in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |

| SSM 50556 | 2022-03-08. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Engineering is releasing updated software to resolve this concern, which is expected to be available by the end of June-2022. In the meantime, clear these DTC's and if any reset with normal battery voltage follow normal Workshop Manual diagnostics and repair. Monitor OASIS for updates. |
| SSM 49410 | 2021-01-05. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2020 Aviator/Navigator vehicles may exhibit the inability to unlock the doors using the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter, Lincoln Way App, and the passive entry system door handles. The door keypad and the mechanical key will be the only option to unlock the vehicle when this concern is present. In addition to the inability to unlock the vehicle, the vehicle may also exhibit a no crank/no start symptom. To address this condition, reprogram the body control module (BCM) using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
| SSM 49015 | 2020-08-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:TAILGATE:LATCH. Some 2020 Explorer/Aviator vehicles built on or before 17-Feb-2020 may exhibit an intermittent partial opening of the power liftgate and/or false activation of the anti-theft alarm with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B144D, B144E, B1555 and/or B1556 stored in the rear gate trunk module (RGTM). This may be due to the software in the RGTM improperly sensing that the liftgate is ajar. To correct the condition, reprogram the RGTM with the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 14B291 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
